Good for $5. It’ll work just fine with small snakes. Anything bigger than a medium sized adult ball python might be too much for this hook. The hook is small & cheaply made…But its not terrible

I bought this yesterday and it arrived today but five minutes after getting it it fell apart plus it’s extremely short and can barely hold any weight, it bends so easily and is horrible. It’s not even worth the price it only extends two feet long, I was so exited to get this since I wanted to go herping tomorrow but now I have lost my faith in humanity. This isn’t a joke all I hade was 15 dollars and I spent it all on this, now I’m broke and my mom has to get a new one. I was so exited to get it and now I’m just disappointed, I thought zoo med was a good company with high quality products, but I guess not. This product truly is worthless

Works almost perfect for my ball python he is almost too fat to get hooked but it gets the job done! quality of the hook is pretty good , slides easily and holds weight . Easy to use.!

It should have a rubber hook the cheap metal will snap picking up a heavier snake

Got this as a helper to get my very stubborn snake out of her tank as she likes to cling to all her foliage. It would be better if it was not collapsible. With it being extended it becomes quite flimsy. My snake it just over a year old and she is a ball python about 2.5 ft long, she bends this hook with just her tail. Was really hoping it would be better quality.

Originally, I absolutely loved the snake hook. I loved how it is retractable, making storage a breeze. However, it broke in about 4 uses. I used it for a spicy ball python hatchling, and the links that hold the retractable pieces together started falling out. Luckily, my snake was still close to the surface when it broke so she did not fall far and is perfectly fine. After, 3 more sections of the hook fell off. Very disappointed

Pretty good snake hook. It gets the job done. My only issue is that it tends to be loose and wobble at the areas where it is collapsible. Again, for the price this is a fantastic buy and you will not regret it, but that it an annoying small detail.

I bought this hook to use as a training tool with my children and it definitely worked as intended.
