No heat.
Bought to use with the mini ceramic heater and it did not heat up. Included instructions were very poor, no indication of which way is on or off for the switch. After trying the bulb and switch in every possible position combination the bulb never even got slightly warm. I'm assuming the bulb is shot but I do not know for sure so they are both being returned.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Zilla single low Profile Reptile Terrium Fixture
Bought for my Crested Geckos....It's perfect since they have no eyelids this light is not as bright as the 13 & 26 watt UVB's. I've read that UVB is good for them. The bulb even gives off a little heat so they can get under it on a branch if they feel the need.

Great low profile heat OR mini UVB fixture!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This fixture can be used with Zilla's 25W or 50W Halogen bulbs for heat or you can use Zilla's mini UVB bulbs. It comes with hardware to attach to the top screen of your habitat to keep it safe and secure. I always worry less when I can keep my lights locked into place so they can't be accidentally knocked down and become a fire risk. I use this fixture with a mini tropical UVB light for my day gecko.

How many watts is this?
- Hi there! The Low Profile Single Fixture houses one G9 socket for either a Zilla Mini Compact Fluorescent Bulb or Zilla Mini Halogen Bulb. The Zilla Mini Fluorescent bulb provides 6 watts of UVB/UVA light to maintain a healthy reptile. The Zilla Mini Halogen bulbs are available for 25 watts or 50 watts. The Fluorescent Bulbs and Zilla Mini Halogen Bulbs are sold separately.

Would this with the mini halogen work connected to a dimmer? Or are the mini halogens not dimmable?
- Yes, using a dimmer for this lamp is perfectly fine. As with any heat lamp, make sure you are using a thermost for fire and temperature safety, and you’re good to go!

Is there enough room to plug in a G9 to e26/27 socket adapter and an e26/27 bulb? I hate the limitations this has.
- No. This is a low profile fixture designed to work with G9 lamps. Although the adapter would likely fit, the fixture itself is not a tall enough profile to accommodate a typical E26/27 lamp. If you want to use a regular E26/27 lamp, you could use the Combo dome.

Are there bulbs available for this that provide heat WITHOUT light such as a CHE? I have 2 tanks I need to provide heat for both day and night so I need a heat option without light.
- Hi there! Our black incandescent lights are an option for a bulb that emits very little light. Otherwise, a ceramic heat emitter is best.

Hello. I am getting the Zilla Vertical Tropical 12 x 12 x 18 kit, I know the kit comes with a bulb and the mini halogen dome, but the bulb it comes with is not good for a day gecko. What bulb would be good for a day gecko and fit the dome I have?
