Can I bring my cat to petco to get fitted for a harness and leash
My cat didn't accept harness,but he accepted well a polar vest he has,that I modified into harness, I walked him with it for a week,he was happy and didn't want to escape it,but today a man accidentally let loose his dog and it ran so fast chasing my cat so I couldn't pick him and he rans away far,8 hours I searched and called him with no results,how much time is needed for him to calm down and come home alone and how tight can I make his vest around the neck to be unabble to escape it again?
Hi,from few months I'm walking my cat outside but instead of harness and leash I use a cat cloth and tie from a sweatshirt,the vest is from soft thin material,wide enough for him to get out easy from it,he loves it and is much healthier than before,even started walks for up to 3 hours daily,but his skin became itchy and rough especially on the place that the ties are tide up,he started to scratch a lot causing almost bald spot,how can I stop the itch and soften his skin or prevent it somehow?
Hey. I have an indoor cat and I dont know that I'm completely comfortable letting him be indoor all his life in a tiny apartment. Now, I have bought a harness and leash designed for cats but I dont know how to teach a cat to walk on a leash or even be comfortable in a bubble bag. Hes terrified of going outside. When I tool him to the vet the other day and his heart was racing. How do I get him comfortable in these? I have tried Feliway, it just doesnt seem to work. What do I do?
Our puppy is 9.5 weeks old , got him a week and a half ago . He is energetic . We put him on a harness and a leash . He’s just sits down and doesn’t want to move . We even tried to entice him with treats ,he barely goes for the treat , he just comes and sits on our lap not wanting to move , once we take off harness and leash , he is back to his playing self , trying for 3 days now , any tips . We let him be on Harness and leash without us controlling it , but he sits still or sleeps . Any tips ?
Hello! I'm working on harness/leash training my cat so that he can go outside with supervision (we live in a very small apartment). We live in a fairly flea and tick free region, but is there any sort of preventative care that I can do to keep him from picking up those/similar bugs? Cat is about four years old, around 13 pounds. PULLING: Off-leash, she walks alongside me. Outside, she wears a comfortable harness(pictured). •I stop and use sit command. If I verbally praise her, she jumps right back up and back to pulling. She doesn’t do treats. If I don’t praise her, she’ll stay until I begin to walk again and she’s back to pulling (repeating steps during entire walk). •Gentle leader. She will not walk and acts too ashamed.
I plan on taking Skye on a hike with me. She is on Revolution and has had her Leukemia vaccs. HI doesnt have ticks. Shes been in her harness before and has no problems with it. She will be kept on leash or in my carrier for her. What should I expect, look out for, be cautious for?
I take Leo for a walk every alternate day. He loves his walks and would meow at the door to go for a walk. The problem is when it's time to go back home. He would growl and hiss and attack at me whenever I would pull his leash to go home. Finally I would pick him up cause he won't budge. He would meow loudly and would try to get away. PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO MAKE THIS STRESS FREE. (I play with him plenty in the house so he isn't bored.)

I have an older cat who loves to go outside. We have a woods behind our garden and she loves it, but letting my 9 month old kitten out isn’t working out. I did lead and recall training and through she was ready. But she jumped the wall as soon as I let her out without a lead and got lost in the woods and I had to go find her and collect her.
