I adopted a very overweight dog. I am working on weight management and she has lost some weight but I'm concerned as she gobbles her food down literally in a minute. I just bought the puzzle bowl but she can only reach one morsel at a time using her tongue as she is a big dog. This doesn't seem right either but I don't know. It definitely slowed her eating. Advice please.
What is the best feeding mechanism to put the dog's meal for 15-30 min then take it or leave it all the day for the dog to eat as she want?
I bought a slow feeder from the pet store to slow down my cat's eating but she is barely eating and she will walk away from the dish. My puppy swallows her food whole, it is a smaller kibble. We were soaking it in water until a few days ago, but she swallows it whole either way.
