Great smell, works great

Vet's best is one of the best flea killers. It smells like Christmas. It's a bit expensive, but well worth the price, because it lasts a long time

Yes, I recommend this product.

Doesn't kill fleas at all and the bottle doesn't spray, I’ve bought it twice! Once my cat knocked it over and the top doesn’t seal right so it leaked completely into my mattress. the second time I bought it, the sprayer didn't work at all and i had to buy separate bottles just to use it. I couldn’t even unscrew it so I had to literally cut off the spray nozzle, just for the stuff not to work.

No, I do not recommend this product.

I use as part of my routine cleaning.

I've been using Vet's Best home spray regularly as part of my cleaning routine for about a year. I spray lightly on surfaces the cats frequent and heavy in corners and baseboard that the cats can't get to. I researched it and this stuff affects fleas by breaking down their exoskeleton. Last week, the maintenance man left behind two fleas. I felt one bite me when he was here. My cats are protected by a topical solution, but I used the Vet's Best cat spray on them as extra protection. Then, I sprayed this everywhere and within hours one was struggling and the next day, a second one was struggling (cat pointed them out). That was about four days ago, and I haven't seen any more. It's been a little slower getting rid of all the ticks, but the whole apartment building was infested when a nearby field was sprayed.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Nice smell, doesn't work

This has a nice smell, and might temporarily repel fleas, but it does not get rid of them. ALSO, Peppermint oil is a known toxin for cats so it makes no sense to use it unless your cats are no where near it.

No, I do not recommend this product.

It is the only spray that does not reek and give me asthma. Not perfect but better than others

Smells great

Smells great and no fleas in sight! I sprayed my entire carpet (500 sq ft apt) with one bottle when I found a flea on my new kitten. The spray smelled like cloves which made it seem like I had been baking pumpkin pies all day. I had no respiratory issues whatsoever and the smell dissipated entirely within a few days.

Yes, I recommend this product.

I bought this today, stupidly did not look at what was in it — just saw “for cats” and said it must be safe. Most essential oils are TOXIC to cats (including peppermint oil and clove/cinnamon oil — which eugenol is commonly derived from). Thankfully I only sprayed it around a closed room before realizing and calling the vet to double check. Do NOT use this, it may harm your cat.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Spray for home surfaces

This product smells really good, not at all like chemicals or medicine. I'd describe it as a black licorice scent. I sprayed it on all my carpets and bedding after bringing in an outdoor kitten. He had only a very small number of fleas on him, so I didn't feel that I needed heavy-duty sprays or treatments. This, along with the fine-mist spray from this brand that Petco also sells, seems to have done the trick. I haven't seen any fleas since the day I brought kitty in.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Am I able to spray directly onto my mattress??

  1. Yes, but make sure it can air dry properly after

How often should a room be sprayed with Vet Best Home for a mild infestation of fleas?

  1. Once a day

How long after spraying my cat can I bathe him?

  1. This spray is not very long lasting and safe to be used up to twice a day. So feel free to bathe him as soon as you like after application and just apply again afterwards. I'd wait until he's fully dry after the bath so you can more easily tell how much product is going onto his coat, and so that he won't try lick it off along with the water.

I'm finding a ton of ticks near the water that the strays in my complex drink from. Obviously I can't spray the cats or give them any medicine. Will this work on the concrete surface the bowl is on?

  1. Another suggestion that may work that I just discovered is adding a bit of balsam fir essential oil to the Vet's Best home spray. Maybe, you could spray a little under the bowl of water. Just a small amount would bother the bugs and not the cats. Or move the bowl to a new location, spray the old one, let it dry, then put the bowl back there.

Does this work for fleas? Asking for a friend

  1. This is a amazing product. I live in apartment complex with many stray so it was easy for us to track in fleas. Because of this I discovered my kitty had a flea allergy after he became ill. I was at my wits end when I found this spray. I sprayed my entire house and all the furniture and after about 45 minutes noticed a IMMEDIATE difference

Does this product work for other parasites, like mites?

  1. From what I recall, believe it's specific for fleas and ticks.

How often should I apply this to my cats every day? every week once per month ??? I did not see it in the directions.

  1. This would need to be used daily (or as needed) if you want to use it as a regular flea preventative/killer.

Does this kill eggs and larvae?
