This is the absolute best breakaway collar I've tried that doesn't randomly "break away" for no reason! The previous breakaway I used had a pretty good clasp and I loved its adorable design, however, after a few months the material it was made of started unraveling until there was nothing left except a few strings hanging onto the ever so sturdy clasp so the first thing I noticed when I got the collar, made by Reddy, is how durable the material is. Every part of the collar is made with quality material down to the bell which had a thick, strong metal instead of the cheaper ones that bend easily under pressure. I really like the color which is a charcoal gray with slate blue accents. It's simple, but not plain. My cat is an indoor cat, but sometimes he is a sneaky ninja and slips out the door when no one is paying attention and the reflective stripe makes it so much easier to find him! I have had some trouble when it comes to taking the collar off. It breaks away just fine when you pull it apart with a tiny bit of effort when its off, but when I'm trying to take it off of him, there is far less room to pull it with any kind of force without socking him in the face when the clasp releases. I have found that he doesn't care much for being sucker punched in the face even if it is an accident! It's possible there is some operator error contributing to that issue and eventually I'll discover a technique that will make removing it more pleasant for him. With that said, it's a trivial concern, especially when compared to everything else this collar has to offer to keep my cat safe.

Its a nice collar, made of good material, i just wish it would clip open so its easier to size to your cat's neck. Its tough to slide and make bigger and even tougher to tighten up once its on your cat's neck.

I’ve always liked the Reddy dog collars/leashes and was happy to see them branch out into cats. This collar feels very durable and I like the low-key design, plus it’s nice to see a bell that’s different than the usual ones. My only complaint is it’s a little harder to adjust due to the loop at the very end of the collar. However, I will be buying another in a different color for my other cat!

Very cute! I love the geometric shape of the bell. The color blends in perfect with my cat's fur. The bell is loud enough so I can hear him when he runs and plays. The breakaway feature is also nice, peace of mind to know he will not get caught on anything.
