I've been feeding my 15 month old husky/lab mix a grain free diet that is 26% protein. I have recently discovered the same manufacturer makes a food that is 38% protein. Both foods are made by Merrick, one has deboned meat, while the other is a meat meal. Is there an advantage to feeding the higher protein?
I have a 9 week old male golden retriever, mom is 50lbs, dad is 58lbs and the breeder has him on Purina Puppy, which I want to change him off of as fast as possible. Out of the three, which BB food is best? 1)Freedom Puppy Chicken Recipe Grain-Free Dry Dog Food 2)Life Protection Chicken & Rice Puppy or 3)Life Protection Chicken & Rice Puppy Large Breed?
We rescued a puppy from a local spca shelter. A mixed breed golden retriever and believe some type sheppard. We located him thru petfinder. With the rescue we received a couple of bags of Purina Pro Plan puppy food. I have had several people comment it's not a quality food and should try blue buffalo. We have fed eukanuba with a prior pet. My basic question is the pro plan puppy formula ( we got a bag of chicken and a bag of lamb ) a quality product? Thx
I have a basset hound 1 year old and an 8 month old lab. we free feed, iams Lamb with brown rice formula, but these two act like they are starving but I go through 40 pounds of food every 11 days. I use Iams with lamb as U also have a 4 yr old SShi tzh that doesn't tolerate beef very well. I need a suggestion please.

I have a German Shepherd and she is one month old. I am really unsure what dry food to get her. What is better: Purina Pro focus, Blue Wilderness, American journey, or taste of the wild? Should I get grain-free and large breed? If any other ones are suggested let me know.
Hello, I am an expat living in Nicaragua. My choices for dog food are limited to a dozen brands. I can buy Alpo, Dog Chow, Pedigree, Doggi and a few cheap Cargill brands. On the high end there is Pro Plan, ProPet, ProPac, Mira and Iams all of which are $100 for a 40lb bag. Can you recommend a good dog food from the list above. I really don't want to spend $100 for a bag of dog food if there is no reason to. My dog is a mutt with 40 doberman in him. He is 2 years old. and weigh about 38 lbs...
puppy chow or high protein dog food for nursing momma dog which it better
What is the best food for dogs? After some research I saw that food higher in protein is what's best, i gave them taste of the wild but they didn't like it. I tried whole farms and they did like it. That's what i am sticking to right now but would like professional opinion. I saw Amazon got a dog food brand out, don't know if anyone has opinions about that, seems good just doubts on where the ingredients come from. Also, what are your thoughts on purina's dog chow complete adults. My dogs r 3yrs
I am trying to find a healthy , natural dog food for my dog , he is a 75lb coon dog , he's been on blue buffalo for some time now, he eats very little of it every day , I recently have been looking into other good dig foods , my friend feeds her dog Bill Jac dog food , she gave me some to try and my dog seemed to love it , but I was reading the ingredients and it states that they use 5kbs of chicken to make a 6lb bag , but it also says that they only use the chickens organs for it !
