Strike scooping the litter box off your to-do list. With the ScoopFree Crystal Pro Self-Cleaning Litter Box, there's no scooping, cleaning or refilling your cat's litter box for weeks. It uses crystal litter which provides 5 times better odor control than traditional clumping litter. Crystal litter absorbs urine and dehydrates solid waste. This low-tracking litter also helps keep your floors clean because it is 99% dust free and doesn't stick to your cat's paws. Safety sensors ensure that the scooping cycle only occurs when your cat is out of the box. It uses disposable trays that have a plastic lining to help protect against leaking, and each tray comes with a lid for quick and easy disposal. Just remove the tray and throw it away. There's even a health counter that tracks how many times your furry feline uses the box, which is a convenient way to detect early signs of a health issue. PetSafe brand is here to help you and your pet live happy together.

Great for 1 cat, not multiple

Mrs Bolton

My husband and I bought this a couple of weeks ago and it works okay, but the tray needs replacing every few days with us having 2 cats that use it regularly. It's way more expensive to replace the whole tray every few days than it was to just scoop and replace litter myself. If you have 1 cat, I'm sure this would be a great investment but it just can't handle 2 cats. The sifter itself also gets stuck a lot and doesn't scrape all of the clumps, I still have to go and scoop daily like I would with a normal litter box.

Problems with scoopfree

Darold

I have had alot of stopping issues, that requires unplugging and then plugging it back in. Scoop arm is dragging and getting stuck. First stop of run there is a loud bang noise. Then it finishes run back to the beginning. This happens with each run.very annoying. I feel the idea and concept is sound, maybe I just received a bad unit. Thx

Not what it seems

I bought this a month ago with an open mind. It says that the literal last 20 to 30 days for one cat, only lasted 10 days till it started smelling horribly. The poop backs up and get stuck in the grading system that goes across the litter and then you have to take your time and clean it. I would not recommend this product. It’s not what it seems.

Purchased a couple of weeks ago. So far, the urine odor is not half as strong as before the purchase. The light is very often blinking. Then I simply press the button once, but it is my understanding that it should not be in blinking mode most of the time. This morning I awoke to this scene with it (see photo). It has feces in my view. Again, my understanding was that I should not be this way. I want to like this apparatus, but so far it is not looking as good as I would like. Now, I am unable to attach the photograph that I took, hmmm.

No, I do not recommend this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] She was understanding since my litter box was not working as efficiently as it had previously so she offered me a good discount and I replaced it with a new one for my six month old kitty.

DO NOT BUY!!!!!

Jokes on me

Pure scam this thing is garbage. Made a huge mess just pushing cat poop from one end and then making poop pancakes on the other end. Within 48hrs the smell was unbearable. Biggest waste of time and money just gonna have to spend 500$ for a better product. When I saw the price I should have known to good to be true!

No, I do not recommend this product.

I bought this 6 months ago, my kitten was 4 weeks old, I've had to scoop and shift the crystals around to try and absorb the urine, it doesn't clump so it's just strong smell. Was wondering has anyone used like tidy cat in the box?

No, I do not recommend this product.

Happy but a little disappointed

I bought one 6 months ago it connected to my phone, so I wanted a second one. The picture showed that you could connect that 2nd one to a phone but when I received it there was no wi-fi connection on it. Disappointed with that.

My self cleaning litter box sounds like scraping metal when the rake moves. How can I fix this? Wd40 the track?

  1. Yes

Does it only use the crystal litter or can I use a cheaper brand?

Can you use Fresh Steps Crystal in the tray?

    1. Any non-clumping litter should do in this machine.

is it possible to buy parts for this box ?

How does the solid waste not accumulate in one area/ in the compartment and not overflow? Does it distribute evenly in the tray below? How large is the compartment?  I don’t understand how this works.

      1. The crystals absorb the urine rather than clumping it, so basically it's just the solid waste that's scooped away.

Could this handle a diabetic cat who pees a lot at one time?

      1. i would say yes! my kitty seems like he pees all the time. I mix my crystals 50/50 with clumping litter, and put box liner in the tray. when full, change the liner ( weekly) for my furbaby. it rocks.

What are the measurements of this litter box? I need it to fit in my cats enclosed litter box cabinet

      1. About 24"×12"

I've misplaced the power cord to the pet safe litter box. Can you tell me what out put volt it is ?

where do you put the pads,,,just on top of the blue liter pebbles, Won't the teeth move it?

        1. No pads.  Its a shallow box. The machine rakes the liter (blue pebbles) and deposits the waist on one end of the box. It works great.

Will this work for 3 cats?

        1. I have 6 cats with 2 of these and have used it for 2 years. Works a dream. Have to change out the crystals about every 5 days. But zero urine smell until its time to change it. Nothing you have to do - no scooping - until it's time to change it. Only downside is the cost of the crystals.
