I bought this for my friend’s much older dog, but they had a bad reaction to the product and had to stop after the first dose.

I’ve given these to my dog for several years and they help her with a joint problem she had. She was limping but after giving her these for almost a week she stopped limping. Her doctor suggested I continue giving her these because she is 11 years old.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Dog won't eat it

This pill has become the bane of my existence as it entails a drawn-out, peanut butter-smeared fight with my small/medium dog every single morning. It is an absolutely gigantic pill and smells repulsive, but in a chemical way, not in a stinky way dogs love. I give up. Maybe these pills could work, but how could you know if dogs won't take them? My dog hasn't minded the other Naturvet supplements as much, but this one is the worst smelling and bigger than any pill pocket.

No, I do not recommend this product.

It works, but does take a while to get the benefits. My senior golden was able to ditch the brace after a month or two.

Started my 9 yrs old GSD on these after having TPLO. Her recovery has been great. No stomach issues, I break these tabs in 4-6 pieces which then are added into her food.

Yes, I recommend this product.

This has helped my aging Australian Shepherd become more active and I've only given it to her for a week now. But it is soooo hard getting it down her. It is so big, and she doesn't like the taste obviously. She has liked the other NaturVet joint pills, but not this one. It's a shame because it seems to really help her so much more than the others. I break it up, and hide it in meat or cheese, but then usually have to glop peanut butter over that, even. But I won't give up. She's stubborn, but so am I!

Yes, I recommend this product.

Is this suitable for a dog with pancreatitis needing a low fat diet? Also, new to this product....is a level 3 suitable for a 7 yr old lab with hip replacement?

  1. I started giving this to my Labrador BUDDY after he tore his ACL in his right leg when he was about 7. He healed up without surgery. I continued giving to him until he passed away at 14. I recommend the stuff.

Do these have chicken in them or flavored with them?

  1. There is no chicken listed in the ingredients.

My dog is taking 150 milligrams of Carprofen. Is this safe to take together? Will it help with her joint stiffness?

  1. My dog had awful stiffness, and couldn't even get up. Now, taking level 3, she is back to walking, dancing around in circles, and getting up to go out. I was giving her the treats version, but she, didn't want them, after a long time. So, I give her the liquid form of it, and it is working fine. I can tell. Makes me so happy!

Is this safe for my diabetic girl Ruby? She’s about 21lb mini Pincher. She’s 7 yrs old and on 8cc insulin currently.

  1. For a dog with a serious disease like Diabetes I would suggest consulting your vet. I've had an Epileptic dog in this product for over 2 years w/o any issue, but Epilepsy and Diabetes are completely different illnesses. Good luck!

I have a 6 year old active Aussie, trying to determine if I should use the level 2 or level 3. He plays hard and after resting a bit gets up slow. What is the difference in the levels and what would be better for him?

  1. I cannot suggest what is beat for your pet but I can say that I have a small breed 11 year old very active pet and he takes level 3 every day for several years now and has not had any slipped joints. When the weather gets cold he may be slow getting up but it doesn’t happen often or last long.  I swear by these for my dog

How many calories per tablet?

  1. Hello. Thank you for your product questions. We do not have a calorie count for the tablets. The soft chews are around 9-10 calories per chew.

My lab is turning 12. She currently takes VitaPet Senior Daily Vitamins by Naturpet. I don't see that on Petco's site. Will she get all the same amount of vitamins in the Joint Health level 3 as she gets from the daily vitamin?

  1. Hello. Thank you for your product question. The Joint Health Level 3 is the perfect hip and joint supplement for your Senior Girl but there are no vitamins in the product. You should also continue feeding the Vita Pet Senior Daly Vitamins so she receives her daily requirement of vitamins and minerals.

I have a golden retriever that weighs about 90 pounds. He's 4 years old. He's currently on level 1. Can anyone advise if that's sufficient, or if based on his age and weight, should we change the level. Thank you.

  1. Hi Miranda67, If the dog is doing well on Level 1, you can continue until he is 5 years of age. Then, move to Level 2 until 7 years of age, and then progress into level 3.

why isnt there Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids in the level 3?

  1. Thank you for your inquiry. The Level 3 Joint Support contains Green Lipped Mussel, an excellent source of Omega 3 Fatty Acid.

What is the maintenance dosage for the product NaturVet Joint Health Time Release Level 3 Supreme chews for a dog weighing about 70 lbs.

  1. My bottle says: up to 10 lbs. = 1/2 tab 11 - 39 lbs = 1 tab 40 - 79 lbs = 1 1/2 tabs 80 and over = 2 tabs
