Gibbs my new 1yr old cat, he's familiar with the pink round platform ball trackor on the left. Because he had one to play with at the Northshore Animal League. At 1st he's would pounce the scratch not understanding he could scratch it as well, until I pour a little catnip on it..its organic, but wondering if it's alright brand? Or if there is a better idea to help him also understand vertical scratch post as well. as you can see he understands, he's not grasping vertical post besides walls/sofa

I bought a chew toy filled with Catnip for my 3month ragdoll kitten to ease his teething. But am suspicious about catnip effect so haven't given it to him yet. Will it be safe for him at this age? Is catnip smell good for cats in general? I hate to induce any drug like effects in my innocent kitten...so want to be double sure. Please HELP.

Hello! I wonder how can I wash my cat's catnip toys? Can I machine wash them woth a pet friendly detergent? Like "Seventh Generation"? I use it on her blankets.. but I wonder if I use it on her cantip toys. Some of them were exposed to mold, so I don't want to wash them with only water, and definately not throw away all of them... How do I make a kitten understand how a Kong toy works? I've already tried spraying it with catnip so that she plays with it and understands that when she moves it, treats fall out of it. But she seems not to be atracted to catnip yet as she's still too young. Any tips? Thank you!
