Upon opening, it had a terrible plastic toxic-smelling odor. My cat jumped in it right away and loved it, but the smell was so horrible, it even transferred to my cat's fur. I'm returning it for this reason

The cats love it and play with it daily! The crackling is very loud but they have so much fun!!
