Sucks, doesn’t last long & extremely dangerous

Bought this 1 month ago, and when it came in the bulb didn’t work. Called and was sent a replacement, which only lasted 21 days exactly. Customer service is no longer helping through phone as this is the second time. This product is cheaply made and I 100% do not recommend.

This bulb is never recommended for bearded dragons. It provides in adequate UVB light. If I have one more person contact me with a sick reptile because they are using these lights I am going to cry. You must use linear UVB lighting not this if you want your reptile to live a long life.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Used only during the day for a water dragon and the light only lasted 33 days. $38.99 for the bulb is an insane price for such a small bulb life. 100% DO NOT recommend

I use this bulb for each of my turtle's heat lamps. The UVB is important for them and helps keep them healthy. in order to keep their effectiveness, the bulbs need to changed out every 6 months.

Is this good for a red ear slider?

  1. Yes, a Red Eared Slider can use this as it is important for their health. Also provide additional heat lamps for basking. Good luck and hope this answers your question!

can the reptile uvb 100 26w bulb hurt my baby veiled chameleons eyes?

  1. Thank you for your question. The amount of lighting you are providing appears to be acceptable though we do recommend keeping the bulbs around 3 feet or more apart. Please be sure that your lighting is mounted so that it isn't shining through glass, glass filters UVB rays.

what is the CRI of this bulb?

  1. Unfortunately we do not provide the CRI for these bulbs. More information on these bulbs is available here: http://www.exo-terra.com/en/products/reptile_uvb100.php

What is the percentage (%) UVB, and does it produce UVA?

  1. Our bulbs are not rated by UVB percentage, however this bulb was formerly the ReptiGlo 5.0 (5% UVB). More information on this bulb is available at the following link: http://www.exo-terra.com/en/products/reptile_uvb100.php

36" Tall Chameleon Tank?

  1. A vertical light bar- go to lighting in Reptiles section. F&S has a vertical light bar. I also have chameleons. But I buy the bulbs made for turtles because they're tougher, and made for the high humidity environments that our chameleons need.

Is this bulb only adequate for a 12" deep habitat?

  1. If your tank has lots if branches etc with access to different areas, your babies will seek out what they need. My baby beardie's spiral UVA light broke and it took 4 days for the new one to get here. He had plenty of heat during the wait. When the new bulb was installed. He looked up at it, cocked his head to the side like beardies do, then clambered up the branch to get as close to it as possible. They seem to instinctually know what they need and how to get it. Good luck :o}

can i use this light blub with my res turtle?

  1. yes you can, i definitely use it for two RES
