The red rope comes off as soon as the cats touch it.

I have 2 Maine coon cats and I thought this would be the perfect scratching post but it has 1 major flaw for big cats-it is too light. It tipped very easily when the cats tried to use it as a scratching post. If they laid underneath it and used the scratching post, it was effective. The one positive…they liked the dangly poof-balls.

One of our two cats LOVES this scratch post - likes to balance on top, also to flop on top and bat at the hanging "earrings" from above. Both enjoy the classic scratching of the post as well. Very cute, great size (not too big and not too small) but a section of ~8" of the rope was already separated after just a week (they have been using it heavily). We were able to push it back into place and sometimes it still pops out.

This toadstool scratch post is awesome! Our kitty loves it and uses it everyday since we got it. This is by far the cutest scratch post I've ever seen. It's durable and well made and has dangling pom poms for when our kitty wants to play. The colors are also vibrant. And the best part is that the toadstool design goes perfectly with our daughter's bedroom decor. It definitely is a unique scratch post.

This scratching post is really cute and quirky! My cats really like playing with the dangling fuzzy balls. They usually take a while to play with new toys or use new furniture, but they started scratching this post right away!

I love how this scratching post looks and people have commented on it when they visit! It is very cute and doesn’t have a big footprint so it can go in many places. My cat hadn’t used a scratching post before but he’s getting used to it.

This has been a great scratcher for my adult cats. Almost every part can be scratched, one of my cats even likes to scratch the green base. The mushroom shape helps when one of the cats stands to scratch upwards. And having a hanging ball on each side helps keep interest. The only downside is it's not heavy enough to stop any tipping over.

This is the cutest cat tree I have ever come across. It looks very well made and brings something fun to the room. It is on the smaller side but since the top mushroom cap is also made of sisal rope, my cat can scratch on top too. We haven't put it out in the house yet but I can't wait to and I know both my cats will absolutely love it. If you're on the fence about it, get it, you won't be disappointed.
