Chinchillas have very dense fur and don't bath in water because the density of the fur prevents air-drying and moisture on the skin can result in fungus growth or rot. They bathe in dust to absorb oils and dirt (much like dry-shampoo for humans).

Pour about 1 inch of dust into the Chinchilla Dry Bathtub and replace lid. Place inside the habitat for 5-15 minutes, allowing the pet to frolick and roll in the bath. Dust penetrates the pet's fur and helps collect dirt and oils. The dust particles will fall away naturally, but the chinchilla can also be brushed with a soft brush for added cleaning.
CAUTION: FOR PET USE ONLY. Not a toy. Inspect and clean regularly to maintain a healthy environment. Replace if any part becomes damaged.
