Gerbils and dwarf hamsters should be given a bath twice weekly, chinchillas daily in Planet Petco Dust to prevent unhealthy urine stains and irritation that may cause fur chewing. For best results, keep at least two inches of dust in the bath pan. Do not add any other materials. The bath pan should be removed from the habitat after a few minutes to avoid contamination from the animal eliminating in it. It can be disposed of in municipal trash collection or, better yet, recycled as a soil additive in home gardening.

Caution: This product is not suitable for use by children. Always supervise your pet when using this product. Follow directions closely.

This dust bath is a lot of fun and beneficial to my pet hamster, Squeaks. I love that it helps his coat look clean and that he enjoys playing in it. I put it in the enclosure and he runs to it for “bath time”. The used dust is also recyclable and that’s a big positive!

This volcano dust is great! I like the bottle it comes with since it has one side that has a big opening, and the second side has little holes to control the amount you pour. I hope they make it come in big bottles!

My chinchilla seems to like the bath dust. Makes him definitely look spiffy! He rolls and rolls and rolls! And when get gets done going crazy in his bath dust, he has a beautiful sparkle to him. Also makes his fur pretty soft!

I chose this bathing dust for my bunny and he loves it! Unfortunately it has too little but now I know he likes it and willl use it. This container is a good side for small animals like hamsters and Guinea pigs. I just threw it on top of him and all over his body to make the most do it. But highly recommend!

We introduced Oaken to the bathing dust outside in a container. He was interested at first, sneezed, then he was over it. We brought the container inside his cage. He ended up liking it then. If I was able to get a lot of the bathing dust and give him a deep tub, he would really enjoy it because he likes to borough and dig into soil and rice. The directions on the bottle say to have at least 2 inches of dust. However, the 13 ounce bottle isn’t enough to have a couple inches in a container that is actually big enough for a ferret. A customer would either need a bigger bottle or purchase multiple bottles.

With a larger pet and pan, you may be able to get a couple baths. If using on a smaller pet of with less dust, this could last for a handful of baths, or more. Thanks,

Please note that the dust is not intended to be sprinkled on the chicken, rather you will want to make a low box big enough for them to roll in, or make a little hole in yard and pour dust in.
