SandRID is an apple and molasses flavored 100% psyllium pellet with high swell volume to help encapsulate and remove sand and dirt from the intestinal tract. It supports healthy gut function to help reduce the possibility of sand colic. By swelling after absorbing water, psyllium increases bulk in the intestinal tract and is believed to induce peristalsis and decrease intestinal transit time. In the treatment of sand colic in horses, psyllium is thought to help collect sand and to help lubricate its passage through the intestinal tract. Best fed one week per month as a purge to remove dirt and sand from the gut in volume. This bulk forming fiber laxative of psyllium hydrophilic mucilloid should be part of your regular equine preventative care program.

Hi, I have an old dog that has been diagnosed with IBS of the large intestine. I have found that psyllium husks mixed with his kibble and warm water helps to firm up his stool. He weighs approx. 100 lbs and I'm wondering what the dosage should be for him. I've been giving him 1 tablespoon twice a day. Thanks for any information you can supply.
Is psylium husks recomended for a dog who is vomitting and has diarhea thank you
My vet said to give my cat Metamucil; can I give him regular wheat dextrin? Just a generic fiber supplement in powder form?
My dog has what appears to be comstioation. He has a painful gut, he is stretching, panting & trying to poop the last few hours. This is not the first time; he is on a restricted diet but got a chew (natural) & we think it's not passing good for him. Should i give him psyllium husk? He is not eating now, just drinking water. The vet has given him carafate & metoclopramide before & it's worked in past. But I gave him the only dose we had left 8 hours ago.
What is the best broad spectrum dewormer with the simplest dosage possible?
I have a 25 lb chiwienie. Started having diarrhea today. Any OTC products recommended
I have a female spaded Rottweiler Hound mix 87 pound dog 2 years old. she has difficulty with her anal glands and expresses them by licking herself. I have started to include organic pumpkin mixed in with her dry food. (Approx. 1/4 cup of pumpkin each morning) I do not give it to her with her evening meal. Can I add psyllium to the pumpkin in the morning? One capsule? She has access to plenty of fresh water and we hike daily at least once a day usually twice a day to give her lots of exercise.
Dewey is currently on prednisone. I’m not sure if she has pooped the past two days as one of my other cats shares litter boxes with her. Can I give Dewey MiraLax with prednisone? I gave her a 1/8 of teaspoon this morning. Did I possibly do more harm than good?
Can i give my 7 year old pom the equite (walmart) brand of milk of magnesia for her constipation?
Vet prescribed restoralax (PG3350) to treat on going constipation issues, but didn’t say how long she should stay on it. Is is safe for long term useage? Aprox 1/4 tsp x2 mixed in watered down wet food. It’s helping so if it causes no harm I’m hoping she can stay on it long term.
Is it best to give dulcolax pills or enema for a dog who is constipated. Went to the vet today. Took X-rays no obstruction just full of poop. Prescribed pain meds but nothing to go to the bathroom. Please help with any quick recommendations. I did just buy some dulcolax
Can a dog have unflavored pedelite when she is sick. She won’t eat or drink. She is 45lbs.
