I groom my pets (dog and cats) at home and after 5 years had to replace their trimmers. When this came I wanted to return it because I was expecting a 5" and it's about 3." I kept it to do paw, ear, mane, tushie and toefur trims. It has been amazing. Most recently, I have been using cosmetic scissors for these things because they are sharp. HOWEVER, they make a super loud, super scary noise to both my dog and cats. The conair scissors is precise and sharp, but quiet! This lets me trim sensitive areas without terrifying them, putting them at risk for injuries. I've finally gotten my dogs grinch feet trimmed. Finally got my cats toefur trimmed so she can chase her toys. And cleaned up the other hygienic areas. The handle isn't the most comfortable thing in the world, but tolerable for periods of time. Not sure how long they last, but I'm super happy with the purchase.

I love these trimmers. They are light-weight, very easy to clip and smooth. They have a tapered tip so it is very easy to trim small areas with no chance of injury.

I found these scissors to be a great way to neaten up my dog's appearance. These are not for taking out big mats or tangles. They're really made for doing finer work like finishing a groom or trimming small areas. I like that they have nice, rounded tips, so if my dog decides to shake her head while I'm trimming her ears, I won't accidentally cut her. The scissors feel good in the hand, and the hook on the outside of the handle adds leverage and control. The action is smooth.

Nice scissors, they cut well. The only thing is they were difficult to remove from the packaging. I had to pull them apart really hard to get the zip tie off the tip. It hurt my hands. Used these to trim the weird long hairs that stick off the cat and dogs haunches. The butt tuffts if you will.

These are great! They feel and look very high quality. They are sharp, which is so important to minimize the time it takes for trimming. The rounded edges make the whole experience much safer. Highly recommend!

We don't need shears for daily grooming with our short haired and midsized dogs, but I love these to have on standby for trimming around injuries and other first aid. The shears are sharp but the rounded tip helps me feel much safer about using them when our pups might not be the most cooperative. So glad to have these on standby just in case!

These are very nice shears. They are not big and fit nicely for my small hands. They cut easily and the blunted tips make it feel so much safer cutting around the face. I don’t know how long they will stay sharp for but I’m sure they can be sharpened

These are the perfect size scissors. My older cat gets big matts on her fur. Sometimes I have to cut throught the matted fur. These are great since they are sharp enough to cut the knots but the end are rounded off making it easier.
