Prior to clipping, make sure your pet has been bathed, dried, and brushed to allow the clipper to glide smoothly through the coat. Place a few drops of lubricating oil on the teeth of the blade before clipping to help maintain the blade and keep it cool. TO REMOVE BLADE SET Hold the front part of the clipper with your thumb pressing on the blade and place another hand against the blade. When pressing the blade forward, the blade is detached. TO REPLACE BLADE SET, Set the taper control button to lowest position, #1. Place the blade onto the clipper body by inserting the blade tongue down below the lock tap. Snap the blade down into position. The blade is now fixed onto the clipper body.

Questions
Has anyone tried using this on a thick fur coated cat?
I have a small dog, will this clipper set be able to be used to do full grooming job over all of my dogs body? Example clippers will cut fur on any and all places like off her back without getting stuck in her fur.
- I also have a small dog and use it on her. It works well, but it's very important to bathe, dry, and comb out prior to clipping, using any clipper style or brand, to eliminate them from getting stuck in their fur.

I want to know if they get hot. I have some old electric clippers we used for our poodle, but they get hot after about 10 minutes and my cats say "no-way am I putting up with this"! Does anyone have a suggestion on some that don't and relatively cheap.

Hello! I'm looking for an inexpensive set of clippers for Mia. She has, what seems like, a double coat of hair now and since I don't have the means to take her to a groomer right now, I want to give her a nice trim since it's getting warmer, and because I want to be able to see any potential bugs that try to go on her. My Buddy had a puppy trim at pet smart. They did a magnificent job, he looked astonishing! Now this was done April 30. The service includes: oxigen infused bath with a tangerine shampoo, blow dry, up to 15 minutes brushing, sanitary trim, nail trim, ear cleaning, anal gland cleaning, scissoring feet, shaving pads, and a bandana at the end. Just fabulous! Is it ok if i take him again sooner than May 30? His eyebrows and beard are super long and he can use a nail trim.

Hi, I have female pomeranian 6 months old. Yesterday we went for first haircut to salon. I said them to make just a little trim with scissors and they got carried away and made her a buzz cut, now she has her undercoat cut. Her fur is only 1 cm long. I am so upset I can't even describe. She had long beautiful fur which I groomed every single day. My question is, since I don't want any patches situation going in future what should I do now to prevent it. I have always used a Dog Comb to comb the Winter coat from my dogs - both long and short-haired breeds. Now, there is the Furminator. I tried it, and I find the Dog Comb is better to get the Undercoat combed off the Dog. I find you have to use the Furminator, which is too sharp, to brush them down to the skin, irritating the skin. What is your opinion on combing out Winter Hair on Dogs? (long and short breeds). I used to groom all sorts of breeds of dogs, using a Dog Comb.
