My cats chew and shred paper and cardboard incessantly. Help!
So along with Jasper, we have two cats. He continuously goes after the kitty litter and eats everything the box contains. The litter box has a cover on it, but he sticks his head through. Hes always supervised but the box is in the porch where he goes to let us know he has to go outside so when he goes out into the porch, he runs for the kitty litter and before we can stop him he's already eaten a bit of it. How do we stop this behaviour?
In a cardboard feral cat shelter (I temporarily have no other solution) would it be better to use clothes as padding/bedding or nothing at all since I have no access to straw, insulation or hay? What else could I use to make my cardboard shelter as durable as possible? I already have a plastic lid taped on top, plan to put bricks underneath, and then place the whole thing under my deck. I might put some baking soda around to repel bugs but I don't want to affect the cats. Thanks!
why does my cat eat cardboard?
my 1 year old cat spray my and my boyfriends laundry baskets. Later on, I found poop in my basket. These baskets are close to my bedroom closet. Factors: this afternoon, my boyfriend and I did a deep clean of the litter boxes. We emptied each hooded box and sprayed and wiped down every side. We didn’t know what happened until after we did this. Other factor: I came home from an oddities convention and brought home a skunk pelt. I put it in my closet so the cats wouldn’t get it. What all do I need for a new kitten
We had a "toy box" for our cat. When we get a new cat, do we also need to get new toys?
Found this on 8 1/2 year old cat
My cat recently had two foreign body removals from eating things when we aren't at home. Our only solution is to cage him when we leave the house. In the cage there is a sheepskin bed for him to sleep on and a plastic box filled with litter. As soon as he gets in the cage, he hops in the litter box and stays there. We come home and he's still in it. Is there any risk of infection or problems from him doing this?
