It’s impossible to get the water flowing. It takes way too long and too much effort. i’d recommend one with the siphon ball.

"Self priming" does not work, you have to start it manually each time. Not good for smaller tanks. get one with a squeeze bulb. Waste of time and money, now I have to look for a new siphon.

It’s ok. I don’t like that it’s hard to get it started. It scares the fish but it works.

I got so tired of using this in my smaller tanks, 2.5-3 gallon, kept moving up and down fast or slow but it took a long time to get the water out. It's also scaring my fish and I was also afraid that I would hurt my fish. Waste of money, don't get this if you have small tanks.

Does not work for small aquarium. I have an 8-gallon tank and i cannot get it to work and i'm afraid of hurting my fish. I did not keep the receipt so i cannot return.

Works great but it is WAY too big for the size tanks listed. We have a 1-gallon betta tank and there's barely enough time to get any of the waste removed from the bottom before the water is nearly gone! In just seconds, I have to remove the siphon - too bad. It would be very good for larger tanks.

This siphon is great! If you have a small aquarium, I would definitely recommend purchasing this siphon. It's small enough to get into small crevices but large enough to be effective. The siphon also comes with a clip to hold the tubing onto the wall of the aquarium or into a bucket.

I don’t have sand. Did NOT work in my gravel. You have to push up and down to get it to work. I pushed up and down and up and down and on and on and it did not siphon. It went in my garbage. The best siphon is one with a bulb to squeeze.

Unfortunately this item cannot be used to refill your aquarium after a water change. I would recommend the Python brand product to accomplish what you are asking about.

In my opinion this would be a perfect size as a vacuum as well as a siphon. I’ve been using mine for over three years in a 20 Gal. tank every week for water changes.

You betta be fast! For our small tank, it takes the water level down very quickly and there's not enough time to get the waste on the bottom sucked out.
