Is this tank big enough/small enough to hold goldfish fry (these fish will not be in it we are just cleaning up there other tank)
Hey! I have a empty 5.5 and I planned on getting a baby betta the brand is Topfin. and I was just curious about the filter on it and if you think it would be to tough and blow the betta around or suck it into the filter. I also heard that Smaller Bettas are recommended live food but I don’t know how to raise anything like vinegar eels, microworms, etc.
We have four cardinal tetras, three glo danios, three glo tetras and a albino Cory cat. They are all the type to only get an inch to two inches long and so we have them in a twenty gallon tank. Have gravel and silk/plastic/resin/and live plant/decor and proper filter/heater/air. Also have changed filter once a month, siphoned 25% water/debris out every two weeks using water conditioner but don't know why we have murky water and how to remedy this...
I just purchased Imagitarium Ammonia-Reducing filter media cubes from Petco and there are no instructions for how to use. I have a 5 gallon tank with a submerged Built-in filtration system how many cubes do I use and how do I put them in my filter? Please provide the instructions thank you for your time.
how do I change the ammonia, nitrates in my aquiarium
I have two gold fish that live in a 55 gal tank. The water is clear, but brown starts to accumulate on the inside of the glass, and on the ornaments in the tank. I have been using a few different water treatments, the water is clear. I use a sponge tank scrapper to get it off of the glass, but the ornaments are all covered with brown. Is there a fish or something else that would clean that stuff up?
I went on vacation and put a vacation feeder in the tank when I came home his tank was a sandy color. After cleaning his tank complete I put him back in and after that he hasn't been the same going on a week with out eating. What did I do wrong? Now I have bought a different tank and rocks, add water and a water heater and added stress coat. Is there anything else I can do to help he's breathing really fast? I have seen a change since I've put him in the other tank, he is swimming more.
I have a 20 gallon tank. I'm thinking of buying +5 fish. Which fish could I buy and what would I need for the fish and tank?
I recently got my goldfish (very small) and I put him in a 5 gallon tank (new tank with conditioned water and filter). He swims around very fast and up and down the tank walls. When I feed him flakes, he chews really quickly and then spits it out. I can’t tell if he actually eats anything. The ammonia levels are a little high (3.0) so I put in some ammonia fixer. All the other tests seem normal. Is there anything else I can do?
Hi I'm looking to buy a male Betta in the next couple weeks and keep him in a 5 gallon tank by himself. I had a Betta several years ago and remember the hassle of changing the water, so this time around I was looking to buy a filter. What would be a good filter for my situation and how would I set it up? After installing a filter, what would the upkeep of the tank look like? Will I ever need to change the water or use purifying agents?
Please help!! I have a 5 gallon fish tank starter kit. Water conditioner. Thermometer. And it has a filter. I have bought 3 gold fish all from Walmart. (I know bad idea) and all have died 1 first day. 2nd one the next day. And the third is dying currently :( they swim by the filter and float then have a hard time breathing it looks like and then die. My autistic 5 yr old is devistaed and I don't know what I could be doing wrong. I did research and research and more research!! Help:(
My goldfish has blood in his find. I searched what it could be and found a website that took me it was ammonia poisoning or something and I just needed to clean his tank. He's 8-9 years old and I got him from Mejier. I came home from school today to find him floating on his side. He let's me reach in and grab him and I noticed that his entire back side from his anal fin to tail was losing scales. He is in a 20 gallon tank with another goldfish, 2 plecos, and an albino shark. He has a filter+air
