What size would I need to buy for a 55 gallon aquarium? It has two sides.

Is there space to fit a filter and water heater or does the hood take up the entire top of the tank?? I cant really tell in the picture how a filter and heater would fit with the hood.
- There is a slot in the back for a filter system. You have to get the tank, then measure the opening and find that wide of a system. There are one hole on each side of the filter system. I had the heater in one and a round air stone in the other other holes. These are great tanks to have because I have four tanks of different sizes. Hope this helps you.

Will this fit Aqueon Standard 20 Gallon tank?
- It should fit. It will not fit the standard 20 gallon high Top Finn brand, or other company aquariums because they are all made in different countries. Match the lids and aquariums to the same company and you will have no problems like I had mixing companies.

Would this lid work for a 40 gallon breeder tank? If not I will take suggestions
- The 20" hood only works for 10gal, 15gal, and 20 gal x-high. They make them in bigger sizes so you will have to look to see what hood fight a 40 gal tank. I hope this helps.

My fish tank LED light broke. Is using an LED flashlight safe for the fish?

I got a lED fish light for my fish tank and I only got one light for one side so far and where the light is its growing a brown algae really bad and the other side without the light isn't. We just tranferred Joey from a 40 Gallon Tank to a new 90+ Gallon Terrain... He seemed to be pretty happy till today. We noticed right before we changed tanks that he had some dark coloration on his left side and tip of his tail.. He was shedding at the time so we figured it was part of it.. My red eared slider is not basking even though I brought a uvb light for her just like one of the pet coach vets told me because he has soft shell.I place the light on top of a Zilla screen cover but she still don't get on.I can't really dry dock her because I have a hood for my uvb light.How can I make her to bask and is the Zilla cover okay for her?
