my cat has been having a problem with his eyes and has been prescribed both neopoly dex ophthalmic ointment and ofloxacin ophthalmic solution can you mix them or is one better than th eother?
Hi and thanks for using Boop by Petco! Sorry to hear about your kitty. I'm assuming the vet who prescribed these did a corneal eye stain to make sure the surface of the eyes were not damaged. You can place the drops in the eyes as directed and then wait about 15 minutes and follow with the ointment. Great question.

Unfortunately, by law it is illegal for the experts at Boop by Petco to say it's safe to give any drug without seeing the animal in person first. That's because doing so requires a veterinary client patient relationship which cannot be achieved via an internet forum. In addition, the experts cannot say for certain if a specific drug is safe for your dog. I would not use these drugs on Storm's eye unless prescribed by a vet. I would have her seen by a vet ASAP for her hyphema, as any eye problem is considered an emergency.

Hello and thank you for contacting Boop by Petco. You need to monitor your Tinker Bell over the next 24-48hrs. Do not give her any laxative and do not change her diet. The symptoms of gastrointestinal foreign body include vomiting, lack of appetite, abdominal pain, lack of stools. If you see any of these symptoms in the next 48hrs, please take Tinker Bell to your vets as an emergency. If after 48hrs she is well and will have not developed any of these symptoms, it will mean that she is out of danger.

I treated my cat's ear infection with Dexoryl for five days,it looked healed,but only for week,I tried other natural stuffs and now it's about two weeks since he's not treated with Dexoryl,is it safe to renew the treatment with Dexoryl,can I use them
Gentamycin is a common ingredient in ear medications. There is a small risk of damaging the hearing, especially if the ear drum is not intact. When I diagnose an ear infection in a pet, I recommend a two-part treatment. The first is with a cleaner to remove any debris; I like DECHRA DermaPet Malacetic Otic. This is important as ear medications need to contact the skin of the ear and if there is ear wax or other debris in the way, then the medications can't work. After the ears are dry, you can apply the medication. Ears typically need to be treated twice a day for 7-10 days. Cats can commonly get ear mites that may look like an ear infection. If you have not treated Melcho for ear mites, I recommend doing so now. If the ear infection does not resolve after using an ear cleaner and the Dexoryl within a week, then Melcho should see the vet as he could have a resistant bacteria growing, yeast infection, parasites, or even a polyp causing problems deep in his ear. Hello. Thank you for using Boop by Petco. So sorry that Dagan is having this issue. You can use Polytrim as it won't hurt anything but I don't think it will help. It is difficult to tell from the photo but from what I think I can see, it looks like he might have "dry eye" in which case he would need different medication. First though, a diagnosis needs to be made. It is easy and inexpensive to test for dry eye so I suggest you get him to your vet for an exam. Of course, he could have something completely different going on - I really cannot diagnose an eye problem over the internet as I'm sure you know.
