No, that does not sound normal. At regular/normal dosing Milbemycin is pretty safe and side effects are pretty rare. What you are describing does not sound spot on with side effects for this drug. Side effects are usually neurological. I suggest you get a second opinion from another vet. Because the dosing range for Milbemax is so broad (5-25kg and 25-50kg) and because Samantha is right on the border of the dosing range, it is possible your new vet felt that one larger and one smaller tablet would be an adequate amount to protect Samantha. I recommend you check with your vet to be sure.

It looks as though this product is 2% w/v, which translates to 20mg moxidectin per ml. Based on that information, Moyel would receive 0.029ml according to your vet's directions. The Quest gel is labeled for exclusive use in horses and clearly states that it should not be used in other species. As a result, I would inquire further with your vet as to their planned course of treatment. Even if they feel comfortable prescribing this medication in an off-label fashion (which is commonly done!), the volume of medication appropriate for Moyel is so minuscule that it's next to impossible to achieve accurate dosing. I would instead ask if they have recommendations for topical treatments of moxidectin or selamectin if they're more comfortable using those medications rather than injectable ivermectin. I hope that everything goes well!

No worries. The one on the left (Simparica) should be given every 30 days and the one on the left (Milbemax) should only be given once initially and then again in 2 weeks for the treatment of roundworms and hookworms. Although if Jake only had tapeworms it only requires one treatment of the Milbemax. Tapeworms, if found in your pets stool, are caused by ingesting a flea, so reinfection is possible if you don’t keep up with giving the Simparica on time every month. I hope this helps. Best wishes and take care!

I am not familiar with Agmectin but from what I read about it, it is a topical product for fleas and ticks - not the same product as Ivermectin. You can give the injectable Ivermectin that you were giving previously orally (by mouth) so why don't you do that instead? Same dosing as for injecting it. Collie breeds are more susceptible to ivermectin (ie: Australian cattle dogs, Australian Shepherds, Shelties, Collies, etc). Not really German Shepherds or Malanois. If he hasn't had any problems before with Ivermectin then he should be fine now. I would suggest using a product such as [Tri-Heart Plus](https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/tri-heart-plus-chewable-tablets-for-dogs-51-to-100-lbs) or [HeartGard](https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/heartgard-plus-chewables-for-dogs-51-to-100-lbs) instead. Much safer and no chance of overdosing. Hope this helps. Best wishes.
