Dental oral care...which products to use? Was suggested OralVet, as its the one which digests in the dogs stomach is swallowed in big chunks. but not readily available in most stores. Is there a comparable product readily available, safe and easily
Hi and thanks for posting on Boop by Petco! OraVet is great, but there are other options out there as well that may be more available. I would recommend oral health products that are approved by the Veterinary Oral Health Council. I have linked a list of approved products below. Nikki is adorable! Thanks for including pictures! Yes, PetSmile is expensive, but it is one of the only toothpastes to actually be approved by the Veterinary Oral Health Council. Here is a list of their approved products. http://www.vohc.org/VOHCAcceptedProductsTable_Dogs.pdf PetSmile is what I use with my dogs. (Last year they ran a 25% off sale before Christmas, so I stocked up!) Yes, it is fine to use Dawn on Nikki's feet daily, but I suspect any gentle cleaner would be fine as well. You may have to experiment to find the best shampoo for her. I have been very pleased with EarthBath products, so you might want to try their Oatmeal and Aloe shampoo for itch relief. https://earthbath.com/product/oatmeal-aloe-shampoo/ There are also prescription itch relief shampoo and conditioner products if needed that you can talk to your vet about. Hi, I am preparing to adopt an adult Alaskan klee kai. She is between 18 and 20 pounds. I currently live in Phoenix, AZ, but may be moving in the near future. I am trying to determine which flea/tick and heartworm preventatives may be best for her. I
Congratulations on your new dog! I like Revolution if you are looking for a topical product. It consistently works well and is well tolerated. If you like the idea of an oral product better, I like Trifexis (it’s another all in one product). Sometimes though the pets can smell the Trifexis and they won’t eat it. In that instance, I like Simparica and Interceptor. My personal preference is oral products. I hope this helps and please feel free to post any additional questions.

Si bien estamos asociados con Petco, en realidad no interactuamos con sus tiendas o sus líneas de productos, por lo que tendría que contactar a Petco directamente con su pregunta. Algunos Petcos ahora tienen servicios veterinarios y pueden llevar productos de prescripción veterinaria. Si el suyo no lo hace, puede verificar en línea si hay farmacias para mascotas en línea que se lo envíen; solo necesita que su veterinario le envíe por fax o correo electrónico su receta.
