Because fleas are so problematic, flea prevention is essential! Commonly prescribed preventives include oral and topical medications—although injectable flea prevention is available, as well.

Hello. I do not know what might be available in Canada, but I highly recommend looking at this website for the Veterinary Oral Health Council. Click on the Accepted Products link at the top, then on accepted products for cats. It will list everything that is truly tested to provide results. Thanks for using Boop by Petco. https://www.vohc.org

Hello and thank you for reaching out to Boop by Petco. I'm sorry to hear about Kimmie's skin issues, but your veterinarian is correct in recommending this diet trial. You may be able to order the food through Chewy.com for cheaper than other places. They often have discounts for your first order, which can be really great. I would not change the diet your veterinarian prescribed, as this will defeat the purpose of the diet trial! I hope this is helpful!

Omega-3 fatty acid supplements are the most helpful option available for promoting healthy skin and fur growth, in my experience. Welactin is a good brand that can be given daily in Theo's food, and can be purchased or ordered online without a prescription.

This is probably caused by an allergic reaction. first of all make sure you de-flea Micole regularly every month with a high quality spot on (ex. Advantage) as fleas are by far the most common reason for these reactions. If the fleas are not the problem, it could be an allergic reaction to food or an environmental factor. this is more complicated to treat and will sometimes require medications such as Steroids, anti histamines or cyclosporin in order to stop the allergy. You can use the above product you have mention for your cat although i do not believe that it will make any difference for this specific problem.

Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! I think that Hill's Science diet indoor/hairball control would be a good option. Meow mix and Kit and Kabboodle are low quality foods comparatively. Sometimes what SEEMS like hairballs is really a food allergy. If the Hill's food doesn't help, be sure to give it 2-3 months, then I would try a non-chicken diet (all fish, venison, beef, lamb or duck). I hope this helps and I wish you, Bug and Chloe the best!
