We are currently residing in china. The vets here have two different ways of spaying, one the dog is kept for 4 days the other the dog goes home same day. I'm guessing they have different procedures... Which would be the right one?
I don't know much about how they spay dogs in China, but I can't say I have ever heard of a dog requiring a four day hospital stay after this procedure. Here in the USA, most dogs will either go home the same day or the day after the procedure. Although a spay is an intra-abdominal procedure were an organ is removed, they tend to wake up well and not particularly painful. Unless they are using some method in China that is far more involved, I would think that the same day method is more in line with realistic.

Nikki is adorable! Thanks for including pictures! Yes, PetSmile is expensive, but it is one of the only toothpastes to actually be approved by the Veterinary Oral Health Council. Here is a list of their approved products. http://www.vohc.org/VOHCAcceptedProductsTable_Dogs.pdf PetSmile is what I use with my dogs. (Last year they ran a 25% off sale before Christmas, so I stocked up!) Yes, it is fine to use Dawn on Nikki's feet daily, but I suspect any gentle cleaner would be fine as well. You may have to experiment to find the best shampoo for her. I have been very pleased with EarthBath products, so you might want to try their Oatmeal and Aloe shampoo for itch relief. https://earthbath.com/product/oatmeal-aloe-shampoo/ There are also prescription itch relief shampoo and conditioner products if needed that you can talk to your vet about. Hi there. It's not uncommon for adult dogs to be somewhat selective about the dogs they want to interact with - not all dogs are "daycare dogs," which is perfectly okay. Alternatively, there may have just been one or more dogs at this particular daycare that he didn't do well with, and he might do better someplace else or with a different management plan (separate play groups for dogs with different energy levels, etc.) It doesn't sound like we have much information about what specifically happened at his daycare evaluation, so it's hard to speculate much on what the problem may have been without more details. I would suggest asking the daycare supervisor for more info about this, so that you can get a better idea of why it may not have gone well. Depending on the problem, you could consider trying a different daycare to see if he might do better there.

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! What an exciting time. You would need to start by getting a high quality diet (I like the Purina Pro Plan diets though there are plenty to choose from). Also, a dog bed and toys will be important as well. I recommend that you check with your veterinarian to get him in for initiation of vaccines and to start other preventative care medications such as flea and tick preventatives and heartworm preventatives. What can I do to keep Tank active while I'm at work ? I don't want him getting lazy n out of shape .

Wouldn't it be great if dogs could just put in a work out video? :) While you are away at work, he may not get much exercise until you come back and are able to take him for a walk or play. In that case, I would investigate a dog walker that can come to your home once or twice while you are away at work to walk and play with Tank. There is an app you can get on your phone called Wag and it works like an uber only it's for dog walkers. You can request a dog walker just like you request an uber at a moment's notice.
