They were the best! So upset we can't get them now

5 stars for the original treat, zero stars because I can't find them anymore! My service dog is a chihuahua, and finding really tiny treats for training that held together (not disintegrate) is absolutely impossible. I've tried everything. The only thing that worked was Zukes original rabbit formula. They were very soft, like putty. I would put a bunch of them together into a ball (like dough), and roll tiny little balls (appropriate for a chihuahua when you need to do a lot of training and therefore use a lot of treats). Then I would flatten them so they wouldn't bounce and roll away, especially when doing pattern games and such. I'm so upset that I can't get these anymore! Nothing else I've tried has worked, they all crumble. I might end up having to add egg to them and bake them so they hold together...but it's not the same. Please bring back the original rabbit treats!

Yes, I recommend this product.

Disappointed recipe change

These rabbit treats were the only ones by protein allergic dog could eat and now he won't eat them with the recent recipe change. We also used them to disguise his pills, but now they crumble.

New recipe is hot garbage

I've been buying the Rabbit variety for years because my dogs love them. Apparently the formula has recently changed because the two latest bags are hot garbage. Different color, smell, texture, and my dogs won't touch them anymore.

These rabbit treats were my dog's absolute FAVORITE but since the new recipe change they do not have the same appeal. They used to be super soft and could easily be used to hide medications and unfortunately they do not serve that purpose now either. I will not repurchase unless they are changed back to original recipe. Would rather have paid a little more for the older treats.

Rabbit mini treats were all stuck together in a big lump. Felt like sticky putty all stuck together. Used to buy before and they were not like this. Disappointing, will not buy again.

These treats are a life saver!

My dog, Banjo, has loved these treats since he was a pup. He now has a cardiac issue and needs to take pills. I hide them in these and he takes it well. He only likes this flavor, but he absolutely loves them. We would be in big trouble without these treats!

This may be a dumb question. Do these treats have an expiration date? I am preparing for a new puppy and wondering if I should wait on purchasing these for freshness.

  1. Yes they do but it is usually about a year and a half out.  Good luck with your new puppy !
