The length of this leash is just right for my gentle giant, a black lab around 110 pounds. I feel like I have complete control while we are walking without having to yang on a long leash it allows me to lead her in the direction I am trying to go. The handle part is a bit stiff but I think with time and wear in, the grip will loosen a bit and be very comfortable to hold.

This is a perfect leash for my dog's tactical dog harness. I had to take him to the vet for yearly checkup and shots. He loves everyone, but I like to keep him close to me so he doesn't bother anyone, and you never know about other people's dogs. This worked great. I also liked it while walking through the parking lot with cars passing by. Kept him close and safe. I received this product for free from the Spotted by Petco sampling program in exchange for my honest review.

He loves everyone, but I like to keep him close to me so he doesn't bother anyone, and you never know about other people's dogs. This worked great. I’ve been a multiple dog owner since I was 19 and I’m 62, so I’ve gone through a lot of leashes and walked dogs for a lot of miles, so trust me when I say this is a great leash. It’s a comfortable grip, and it’s strong (I have a couple of dogs that test that and retractable leashes have broken, hooks have given away, I’ve probably had it all happen). It’s long enough but not too long (I have collies for reference). I now have two of these, and they are my decided favorites.

We just had the short leash connected to him the entire hike and eventually he just stayed by us! It’s a great tool to teach ur dog to stay in ur bubble with you
