Stinks. Mildly toxic, but works with a comb

Vk7362

When my cats have fleas, I foam up the high traffic areas for them and then I use a flea comb to completely comb them out. It kills everything on contact. The amount of fleas I combed out with this was gross..but it WORKS. Use it sparingly. Dont let your cats lick this off. I'd use this as a last resort for a waterless bath after a flea medication application. This product smells awful and has enough peppermint and eucalyptus oils in it to probably give your cat a headache or even a stomachache if you allow them to lick off the product. DO NOT allow them to do that. Some of the ingredients are toxic to cats but are in very small doses. I do not apply this daily for this reason.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Started using a month ago. I have two adult cats (one short haired, one long) and one short haired kitten. I used this product liberally as directed several times and it did absolutely nothing. Claims to kill on contact, but I would literally see them alive and well after application. Would not recommend. If you’re still willing to give it a try, try distracting your kitty from grooming with a laser pointer and some treats. That worked perfectly for us. Kept the cats distracted and the running helped their coats dry faster. Good luck!

Purchased this 2 days ago. They had already been treated with a topical flea treatment, but I was looking for something that would kill on contact, as this claimed it would do. The fact that it was a waterless application was also a factor. Should have listened to the negative reviews. Total waste of money. I used it on all 3 of my cats and it did not kill any fleas. I did run it by the vet to make sure it was safe because of the peppermint oil before I used it, he felt it was safe and we had no issues in that regard. I would give it negative stars if that were an option.

No, I do not recommend this product.

This Product Is AWESOME!

I purchased this today for my two senior cats with a bad flea problem. Used it tonight. Worked great and as advertised. I just massaged it into the fur, let it dry and combed the cats to help the fur dry faster. 70% to 80% of the fleas were gone after the first application, and the remaining fleas will die or eggs won’t hatch. The bottle contains enough product for several more applications over the next few months. I’ll wait 30 days and then treat the cats again. This product does not bother the cats….they enjoyed the attention and brushing. Took 15 minutes to treat and comb two cats. Smelled like peppermint spice, and my hands didn’t burn or sting while using the product. No stains on the towel the cats were on. And having a second person brush each cat after I was done was helpful. Plant based is a plus too!

Yes, I recommend this product.

I bought this today after babysitting my sons kitty and both of our kittens (his is 9 mo old and mine is 7 mos) ended up with fleas. I think it is from the animals that go through our yard and us picking them up on our clothes while walking on or near the grass. It was easy to apply and our kittens did not seem to mind it. So far the only fleas I see are dead ones.I also bought the Home Spray bottle which has the same ingredients but in a larger liquid spray bottle . I think that it is best to treat your home and vaccuum any Fleas or eggs up to keep from having infestations.

Yes, I recommend this product.

can this product be use with Hartz flea collar

can this product be used with a flea collar

Can i use this for my 9 week old kitten?

      1. No.  Peppermint oil is toxic to cats.  Their livers can’t process it.

What are the exact ingredients in this?

Will this harm my cat if they lick it

        1. No my cats have been fine and I’ve been using it every other day! I give them a lot of treats and play with them with their favorite toy so they are distracted while it dries, it does dry pretty quickly!

How do you apply to your cat and prevent them from grooming themself while your applying?

        1. I will usually apply the product right before feeding time and spread out some treats so they’re distracted or right after I’m done applying I give my cats wet food so the product can dry a bit before they remember and start grooming themselves.

Will this be ok to use on dogs to

        1. Yes, cat product can be used on dogs. However, dog product cannot be used on cats. There’s an ingredient in dog product not good for cats. I asked at store about this.

If you use the product inside doesn't all the fleas just jump off the cat and stay in your house?

        1. I just got this product, but I am pretty sure there die when we apply it

How often should I apply this product to get rid of fleas?

        1. Rarely

        does it kill mites?

        1. I don't know if it kills mites. It does kill fleas but I've used it twice a day in the past week since purchase. Have to keep using it daily. Cat also has a natural pet collar. Google how to kill mites on pets and there is more info on treatment.
