The Vagabond Butterfly is hardy and adapts fairly well to life in an aquariuml. These can be kept in groups of fish, including other butterflies. They won't do well with fish that are overly aggressive, but they will also nip and pick at fish that are very timid. Initially, these butterflies can be shy; making sure there are plenty of hiding places, which will help them acclimate. Like most butterflies, we don't recommend placing them in reef aquariums because they are very likely to consume a variety of coral polyps. This butterfly will grow to be about 9" in size and will need ample swimming space. They are mostly white in color with yellow by the caudal fin. The Vagabond has a black band through their eyes and by the caudal fin. The bluish dorsal fins are jagged and can get caught in nets. They are found in the Indo- Pacific inhabiting in seaward reefs and lagoons up to 30 meters deep.

ACCLIMATION: Avoid exposing new aquatic life to bright lights after opening the box. Turn off aquarium lights prior to floating aquatic life. Allow the sealed bag with your new fish to float in your aquarium for at least 15 minutes (but no longer than one hour) to ensure the water in the bag matches the temperature in your aquarium. A bacteria booster addition can assist with the addition of new aquatic life. Petco offers free water testing in store to determine if your water is safe for the addition of new aquatic life. DIET: A well-balanced diet consists of a variety of flakes, pellets, freeze-dried and frozen foods, depending on the species. FEEDING: Feed sparingly and no more than fish can eat in 1-2 minutes. Overfeeding can quickly foul the water, especially in smaller aquariums.
If we need to contact you for any reason about your order, shipping of your package may be affected. Once your order is placed, you will receive a confirmation email with your order summary. Orders are subject to verification of payment information by phone or email.

Hello! I'm looking to add some additional fish to my 36 gallon reef tank. So far, I have an orange firefish, 2 ocellaris clowns, a fire shrimp, a peppermint shrimp, and 4 blue legged hermit crabs. Do you have any recommendations other than damsels?
I've recently just purchased a fancy black gold fish and this white looking fish. The white fish looks as if it is pecking at the black gold fish and now it looks like my black gold fish is white. Exactly we're the white fish is sucking at. What's going on
My Cory catfish has developed a weird bubble on it’s gill and I can’t find any information about it
I have a freshwater fish in my aquarium that I cannot identify. It resembles a Mosquito fish but is lighter in color, thinner, swims differently, and has what appear to be sparkles on its sides. I caught it with a net in a school of mosquito fish but it is different. it was the only one in the school that looks the way it does. I found it in the shallow part of a lake in Florida. Please help me identify it.
What type of saltwater fish can I have in a 10 gallon tank
what kind of fish are these? and would they be good with a male betta
My betta has red tips on his tail and my cat fish Cory has red spots as well
several of my pond goldfish have developed these growths. They are not in distress and feeding and behaving normally. I wondered if you had any idea what they could be. Vic, Clacton
We recently bought a Betta from a chain store pet shop. He is currently in a 10 gallon tank with a heater. He’s been eating and swimming around, acting fine. The first day we had him I noticed this bump. (Didn’t notice in the petstore but hard to see in those cups they keep them in) Here’s a side shot. Looks like one tiny fluid filled bump, size of a scale. Any ideas?
Hi, I just got a fish from a friend and I don’t rlly know anything about that fish, it’s rlly small(about 4cm) and I want to know the breed of the fish and how to take care of it. Thanks you
