I foster an American Chinchilla rabbit for a local rescue. He has one ear and is about 7lbs, but is pure skin and bones. I got him 2 weeks ago, and since then the rescue and I have been working on helping him gain weight. He's been on alfalfa pellets and Timothy hay. I've added rolled oats for his fur and nails too. He gets 3-4 cups of vegetables a night. About 5-6 different types of rabbit-sage vegetables. None are high in sugar except for an occasional carrot to help his weight. He hasn't gain

my rabbit just had babies and i’m not sure what food would be the best for calcium content for her. i buy in bulk so that would also narrow my search down, but i can’t find anything i’m super sure about. what do you recommend?
Hi I need urgent help! Flopsy is looking extremely obese and there is fat sagging under his neck, he lives with a rabbit friend (peter) , peter is in great shape. I have checked flopsy for signs of GI stasis and it he is fine, I give 1/2 cup pellets and unlimited hay and water. Please help me make flopsy a good healthy rabbit.
I recently took my 4mth mini Rex rabbit to the vet due to painful gas (and no other symptoms - still eating, pooping, drinking, running) and was told that rabbit pellets from the pet store are for fattening rabbits to eat. My childhood rabbit ate pellets for 11 years and nothing bad happened. I don’t mean to question a professional but everyone I know who has rabbits feeds them pellets. I can’t afford to feed her $5 in produce every day. Thoughts?
I am wondering if I can feed my one month old Netherland dwarf rabbit martins little friends adult rabbit food? I can’t find any young rabbit food.

Hi! Russell has been eating Natural Balance limited ingredients (dry food) since we adopted him 5 months ago. Lately he was not eating his food so w bought him wet food and started mixing it and he was eating it but now he just licks the wet food and refuses to eat the dry food. What should we do? Is it ok to just give him wet food? Thanks!
