Awesome! Perfect for households with separate diets/other animals in house. I’ve used these feeders for years and they are a total win!

how are you gonna charge premium price for a “connect” model, then try and squeeze another $100 for a dang HUB!? Get real. FYI it’s also 2024 get with the program and maybe make Wi-Fi built-in already!? You can afford to do this with what you’re charging for this piece of plastic.

TLDR: If you need this due to dietary restrictions and you have multiple pets, carefully consider your options. This is best suited for people with disposable income, lots of free time to chase down customer service and/or search the depths of the internet vacuum for help, and also have limitless patience. The long of it: I have two cats: one is on the heavier (but not officially overweight) side and one with health issues, including recently discovered food allergies. Also, the cats are on a mix of wet and dry food diet with morning and evening meals being wet food and daytime being free-feeding dry food. So, I initially thought one feeder would solve my problem by using it for my non-food allergy cat to keep the regular food away from the allergic cat. That was until I purchased my first round of prescription food and found it was ~$225 USD for both the wet and dry. So new plan was to get both cats microchip feeders to keep allergic cat away from regular food for health reasons and keep heavy cat away from prescription food for budgetary reasons. I read a few different reviews and watched different videos and landed on the SureFeed brand for a couple of reasons but a big one being an "Intruder" setting (more to come on that). I cough up not only for the two feeders but the separate Hub set up (why don't they just come together??) only to find I cannot access any of the specialty functions. The instruction booklet does not come with very many, or helpful, instructions and directs you to email Customer Support (no phone number). I emailed and waited....and waited, then emailed again and continue waiting. Absolutely no help or response. What a joke! I found some tips on the web but it seems to be for a different model than the one I purchased so no Intruder Mode that I can actually make use of. Why does that matter? Because the unit is open on the back and unless you want to shell out even MORE money for yet ANOTHER separate piece and buy their back cover your lil' fur babies can get into each others food by coming up while the authorized pet is feeding. BTW, I emailed customer support late Jan of this year. It has now been about 3 mos with zero communication from them. I did not return the items simply because I need to keep my cats on separate foods and I could not find reviews for any other feeders which didn't have similar (or other) cons. If anyone is aware of something worthwhile, please post a reply and share with us!

I thought this would solve our problems, but it’s made it worse. It constantly closes on our cat while he’s eating, easily lets our other cat shove his head in and eat with the assigned cat, and stays open when he walks away. We bought the hub thinking there would be more custom settings in the app (there’s not). And the company requires you to jump through a bunch of hoops to diagnose the problem. They did add on a custom setting, but it didn’t do anything to help. Really stressed and disappointed, but we did get our cats microchipped so that’s good at least.

I thought these feeders would solve our problem, but ai feel like they’ve created more. It constantly closes on the assigned cat while he’s eating but then stays open as he walks ways, allowing our fat cat to eat all of his food. We got the hub thinking it’d give us more options (it really doesn’t do much at all). And the company’s “custom setting” only made things worse. I’ve been going back and forth with customer service, and it’s exhausting. I just wish there was an easier and less expensive solution to our problem.

The regular feeder had been out of stock for months so I bought this one and I regret it so much. This is a NIGHTMARE to clean. Whoever designed it clearly never fed a cat. It has a ton of finicky little parts stacked on top of each other, with holes, so that food can fall through multiple layers. Worse, the battery case is not sealed, so if you try to wipe it with a wet towel, water will drip into your batteries and short out the system. Also, the "hub" is not wireless; it has to be plugged into a physical router and it doesn't provide any useful functions that a $10 food scale can't do better. Also, you can't place an ice pack under the bowl to keep food cool overnight like you can with a competing brand's feeder. Don't waste your money on this. The regular microchip feeder is much better.

Avoid this at all cost. My pet had a $900 vet bill because the internal case of the unit got infested with Larva and maggots. When I requested a refund from the company, they were told me I wasn't cleaning the unit, which was nonsense. I had larva on the microchips inside the case of the unit..

This feeder has made life so much easier for me when it comes to feeding my 3 cats. I have 1 cat whom is greedy and eats the others food so I was constantly picking up food bowls so the greedy one wouldn't get fat and the others could have their food when they want it. This bowl scans the microchip in the neck and doesn't allow an unauthorized pet to access the food as the cover won't open. I bought 2 of these for my cats who eat little throughout the day and I bought a auto food dispenser for my greedy girl so she gets food at scheduled times. I can relax now without constantly monitoring food.
