Way better than the original! This thing is beefy, very sturdy. I thought the original was good and after about 5 years it started falling apart. Replacing it with this one was like night and day.

I have been using this type of device for over 8 years with my German Shep (decesed 9/7/24) and now I have adopted another 1 1/2 YO Shepherd/Akita mix. I'm still using it but I'm searching for a larger one because this guy of mine can really put out! As far as cleaning, my process is to march into the house 1st floor powder room, put it in the bowl, open and flush. If there is remaining cling-ons I just let soak there awhile swish around and store in plastic shopping bag...done, BTW it has held up and I am still using the same one I bought 8 years ago.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Only a couple months old and the sun warped the jaws.i guess I could put a heat gun to them and re shape them but even plastic is getting crappier.why cant anyone world wide make a friggin crap picker upper that lasts.always something breaking on these things

What are the black chain link looking parts that are in the scooping area of the device? It looks like you're supposed to put some kind of bag on them (maybe?) but I'm curious as to how that works.

What is the difference between the small and large? Does it refer to how big the scooper is? Or does it refer to how long it is / the size of the handle? -- i.e. should I pick based on the size of the human using it or the dog it will be used for?

    Hi yuukikiyoko, Good day! For below SKUs scooper and total length are different in size. See below: 3233441 – size large total length is 31 ½”. wide of scoop is 6 ½ “Length is 4 ½” 3233424 – size small total length is 26” wide of scoop is 5 ½” Length is 4” Picking size would be a personal preference. But I would use larger size for larger dogs and smaller size for smaller dogs. Thanks,
