Probably works
Had used several bags of this over the course of a decade or two. Don't see the difference between this product, bioballs or any other similar media. Since I can't see the no-see-ums and the media is tucked away in the canister filter, I can't be sure how many this product can actually house, and whether it's in fact any better or worse than any other similar media (I've used eheim cintered, oceanic bioballs, eheim and sera floss, many others) - all with the same result. This one is a bit on the expensive side ..
