This scratcher is incredibly sturdy and well made. It was easy to put together; the manufacturer even included a screwdriver in the package. I only needed a couple of minutes to screw the top and bottom together securely. The extra stability from the screws and plates made me happy because I have larger cats who are kitty parkour enthusiasts. Unfortunately, they weren't enthusiastic about incorporating this scratcher into their routine. I haven't been able to interest a single cat in using it. I've put it in multiple places in multiple positions. No one has shown any interest in at all, not even after I used the included catnip. I assure you that this is a "my cats are strange" issue rather than a problem with the scratcher. Because it has multiple scratching surfaces, it has a longer span of usefulness and can accommodate various scratching styles. It's also large enough for a kitty to simply lounge on. I highly recommend this scratcher, especially for larger and/or more energetic cats.

When I received this I was impressed by the how sturdy it was. Assembly was very easy. It is great and my little girl started enjoying it right away. I also like how the underside is also a scratch pad as well so once she has torn up the top completely it can be disassembled and the bottom half can be flipped over easily for use.

This cat house is so cute! My cats love it. I sprinkled the catnip on the roof of the house and my cats will jump up on the roof and scratch and then just sit. They will also sit inside the house and try to catch the dogs as they walk by.

This is a well designed cat scratcher house. We have a very aggressive scratcher in this home, and it holds up well against him. The packaging is good, and assembly instructions are easy to follow, and short. If you have a cat that just loves the cardboard scrather pads, this is a good upgrade.

I have a household full of cats, and this was a great addition to our cat corner. My cats seem to like sitting on it and playing on it rather than actually using it for scratching it, but to each their own. They're getting use out of it, which is what matters, and maybe one day they will use it for actual scratching!

I got this scratcher for my living room. It is sturdy enough for my cats to stand on top. Because of the angled design, when they stand on top to scratch, they have to balance sort of awkwardly. I'm not sure if they care, but it looks funny. It will slip around easily on solid smooth floors, so it would have to be against something for them to stretch up to the top to scratch. Curiously, the inside is covered with paper and not open scratching material. I appreciate having the paper lining on the bottom side of a scratcher to keep catnip from dropping through. With this design the cats can't scratch on the inside of the house, they can just sit in it. My cats have preferred other fully enclosed house type scratchers with scratching places inside the house. This one is ok though. They do use it.

All six of my cats immediately fell in love with this house shaped scratcher. They each love playing king of the castle and standing on the top of it while another cat runs through the center of the house and swats at their behind. It is great fun to watch. They are obsessed with it. Another hit at my house!!

This was a hit in our house! We have four cats and they fight over who is going to be in the bottom bunk. Took a little work to put together but easy enough. They love to scratch on the top or hide out in the bottom. Four paws up!
