I purchased two at the same time and put the next to each other in the same tank and only one grew. What a waist of $23.

I put this in a brand new, uncycled tank and it began sprouting within days. This was without Flourish, a light, or any kind of additive besides a basic stress coat as well. Mine doesn't and never has floated - I'm guessing those who have this problem either received a defective item or need to roll it around to expel any air pockets. The only issue I've had is some sprouts detaching from the log, however, I've rearranged the tank several times since placing it so I physically touched them which caused it. The green fibers fall off easily when touched as well but my little filter (3.6 gallon low flow betta tank) has no problem pulling them out. I can't wait to watch the sprouts grow into a big, green plant!

Yes, I recommend this product.

Great product! I've bought others in the line & they all grew. People that complain about lack of growth simply don't have the proper conditions in their tank nor understand how to grow plants. Read the instructions. Also some species of fish, snails or shrimp like to eat plants and seeds. Don't put them in tanks with those species. If for the rare reason you pick up one with dead seeds the company will replace it but that seems to be a very rare event. People that blame the product obviously don't understand how to run a simple tank & shouldn't keep fish to begin with. It does what it says. I plan to add more to my other tanks. Glosso doesn't usually grow on rocks or wood it is a carpet plant...this is a great way to get that effect.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Beautiful and simple. I placed it in the back of my aquarium and let it be. Over time, it sprouted and now has a small forest of plants growing all over it. My shrimp absolutely love it.

Yes, I recommend this product.

ABSOLUTE WASTE OF MONEY. Never grew anything and just spread a million tiny fibers all over my tank and clogged the filter. Literally garbage.

No, I do not recommend this product.

What type of plant seeds does it contain?

  1. They say it is glosso but I think it is hygrophila lancea.
