Gibbs my new 1yr old cat, he's familiar with the pink round platform ball trackor on the left. Because he had one to play with at the Northshore Animal League. At 1st he's would pounce the scratch not understanding he could scratch it as well, until I pour a little catnip on it..its organic, but wondering if it's alright brand? Or if there is a better idea to help him also understand vertical scratch post as well. as you can see he understands, he's not grasping vertical post besides walls/sofa

Hello. I have two cats. One likes to play with balls and chase small toys; whereas the other one only likes to play with pointers. I have read some opinions against this way to entertain the cats because they argue that it can stress the animals and generate anxiety when they don't receive rewards for their actions. I have an older yellow lab that gets bored really easily. He gets bored with kongs and is an extreme chewer so rawhides or other chewies disappear SUPER fast! He is very intelligent and I was thinking of getting him a puzzle toy that involves treats as he is EXTREMELY food motivated! Since he's so smart should I still start him on the most basic puzzle or try something harder? I don't want to waste money on toys he'll go through really fast. And are there any other sorts of toys you can suggest?
My cat does not like toys, I really want to entertain him so he won’t become bored however it seems like nothing entices him. I’ve tried teasers, balls, crinkles, interactive toys, toys with food, catnip. You name it. I asked a vet on here but she told me to try the same toys Ive been trying to get him to play with. Why does my dog circle around our table before she jumps? She only started doing this recently
I have changed Buddy's play pen twice because he jumps out if them. I step out for approximately an hour leaving him in his playpen with his pee pad, his bed, a blanket, his favorite toy, and he still jumps out. I make sure all doors are closed, and nothing of danger around, but i dont want him jumping over his play pen. HELP WHAT CAN I DO

My cat Bingley has become very naughty. He hops on counters, the stove, the refrigerator... Anywhere and everywhere. We have tried EVERYTHING to discourage this behavior but he doesn't seem to learn from anything. He does not respond to tone of voice, loud noise, a swat with a newspaper, spray bottle... He does not seem bothered by any of these things and will continue the bad behavior right away, sometimes keeping me up all night trying to control him. Please help me, how do I make him learn?
My cat won't stop jumping on our kitchen counters looking for food and eating out of the sink. We cant keep any food out. Ive spoken to our vet and nothing she can do. It's my fault. When she was a kitten, in my apartment I would feed her off my counter, chicken ect. But now I'm in a house with my husband and newborn and she won't stop searching. We've tried everything, tapes, scat mat, machines that puff air ect. I'm thinking about invisible fence inside my home. What should I do?
