Most timid kitten loves it

Kinda sad
I bought this to help my kittens who were recently adopted have some things to do while adjusting to the space. I bought it literally two days ago and now the thing doesn’t spin anymore. Very disappointed since one of my kittens loved it to death (literally).

Found replacement butterflies!
My younger cats are crazy for this toy. As others mentioned, the butterflies are a bit delicate and only survive for a couple of weeks. Thanks to another reviewer mentioning the replacements listed as SKU 2974044, I Googled that and found several options from different retailers that sell the replacement butterflies.

How to replace butterfly?
I looked through other reviews and obviously I'm the only one, but I can't figure out how to replace the butterfly on a wire. I have one spare wire. I unscrewed the entire bottom, but it was not it. I tried pushing and puling the wire. I can't get it out. What's the trick?

Can't buy more Butterflies
I bought this product today, brought it home, and my 1 yr. old orange tabby lives it. How how delicate the butterflies are, I thought I would buy more butterflies. However, the back of the box says to go on petco.com and search SKU 2974044, but you can't buy them on their website. If the store no longer has the butterflies in stock, you can't get them. Such a disappointment.

Not worth it.
My cats love all sorts of interactive toys, but this one was a failure for them and for me. 1. It just spins. No erratic or changing movements. Just constant, consistent circles, so they quickly got bored. 2. There is no automatic shutoff like in most battery operated cat toys, so I can't just turn it on when I leave for work.
Save your money and get another toy.

Petco please sell replacement butterflies
Petcos missing out on a market by not selling replacement butterflies.
4 star because of durability, each butterfly only lasted a few days, but it would’ve been 5 star because my cats—my PICKY cats—both LOVED this toy. Simulates butterfly movement really well and kept them both entertained for like an hour per play session, which is long for a cat! One even happily plays with it when it’s turned off. I’m not willing to buy the whole toy over and over again, but I’d be willing to buy replacement butterflies if Petco sold them.

i replaced the butterfly but the toy doesn't flutter anymore it just spins around in cyrcles. Any idea how to fix it

- No, unfortunately, it doesn’t have a timer on it. But that should be a suggestion to the manufacturers.

Is there a way to restraighten out the butterflies? My cat loves this toy but the after playing the butterfly quickly bends and flys much closer to the ground and my cat loses some interest.
- I just went through the same ordeal, I bought the unit with 2 Butterflies and in a week or so both were bent. I took the Butterfly off the base and the secret to getting it straight is to look for the hook that secures the butterfly to the plastic piece , Get 2 Plyers one to hold the hook on the base , and the other Plyer on the top of the base where the wire goes up to the butter fly. Slowly bend that back into place and BAM , you have a working butterfly not dragging on the floor.

- if you look on the back of your box, it gives you a sku number to look up so you can order them :) if you don’t have your box anymore just visit the store to get the sku off another box :)

- I bought replacement butterflies on the Petco site... And thank goodness they we're available because my kitties LOVE this toy....it's adorable to watch as they have much they have fun with it.
