Eating Feces - 2 dogs = Jake=55lbs. Tasha=95 lbs. Feed them= Nutro-Lite(lamb & Rice). I read they eat Feces to re-gain Minerals in Stools. Remedy is to keep Stools picked up. Dogs are in a fenced-off 1-acre yard, so hard to find all the Stools. Winter here now = below freezing F. Lots of Snow, and Stools sink into Snow. Is there something I can give dogs to replace the Minerals? I think they are eating Stools, as both are on Diets. Should I feed them more, even though they may not lose weight?
Hi, is it safe for red eared sliders to eat calcium blocks?
Are they any benefits in giving goats molasses as I heard someone say it has copper and selenium in it.
My 4 year old horse is a draft cross. We feed him whole oats and good quality hay. But I read that isn't enough. So I put him on Purina equalizer for 3 months and I also tried Purina Eveloution for 3 months (not at the same time) mixed with oats, 1 cup each twice a day. Both Purina feeds made him crazy. Couldn't stand still hard to handle constantly running in the pasture. But on just oats he is an absolute gem. Does he need more than oats, hay and pasture grass?
I asked a question 2 days ago about my horse that developed blisters on his lip/nose and tongue(his tongue ended up going raw). The blisters are scabbed over and tongue is healing but I’m still trying to find out what caused this. The only thing I could think of that I changed was that I gave him a deer mineral block. He did lick the block; is it possible he’s allergic to the block?First 2 pics are when the blisters showed up 3 is after scabbing
Clyde is 14 weeks old and he is peeing almost a blood color. He gets regular pellets and he love wild purple clover from the field. I do have a mineral block and small salt block in the pen. The other bunnies are doing fine.
Would this be okay to give to my horse for mild heaves?
Black lab, 13 years old , stool dry but regular, lack of appetite for 3 days
We have a emaciated 27 year old horse, is it okay to do a alfalfa only diet following the UC Davis emaciated horse diet ? Or should grain be incorporated also ? thank you so much
If dog supplement has 30mg of magnesium as inactive ingredients will that be absorbed
Does the Nutri-Vet Pet-Ease Cat Paw Gel work to maintain urinary pH for struvite stone dissolution and prevention? My cat has a past history of struvite stones (8 years ago) and doesn't eat the urinary SO diet (wet or dry) She is a picky eater and will only eat the blue wilderness salmon high protein wet food when I gave her options. But, I read online that some pet owners have used regular high protein wet food in addition to this nutri-vet or other dl-methionine supplements.
My 2 yo Lab/Ridgeback is 86 lbs yes overweight and has a urine ph of 5. I have her on grain free Taste of the Wild venison/buffalo 2.5 cups daily. Without spending $80.00 for a 17 lb bag of Royal Canin So , what dry food or treatments might you recommend for Rylee?
