List of the best bird foods for parakeets
Is there a good high calorie supplement, vitamin or food that I can offer my seed junkie parakeet? She scored a poor body condition, was described as thin at her exam. Currently taking Metacam for an ouchy foot.
I have 2 parakeets and I have been feeding them seeds and millet. I believe that what I am currently feeding them is not nutritious. I am currently training them to eat fruit and vegetables and to be hand tamed. I would like to know what food can I buy for them so they can eat nutritious and I can take my time training them.
My cockatiel has been eating Leferber’s Premium Daily Diet pellets as a staple diet. She’s also been eating broccoli everyday. I also give her a bit of crushed eggshells once or twice a week. She has a cuttlebone available at all times. I’m wondering if this would be an okay product to give her? She isn’t much of a veggie eater. Will this be beneficial or unnecessary for her? I’m including the details of the product in attached photos. I do feed her some seeds as a treat sometimes. Thank you.
My budgie is puffy, which could be explained that he is keeping warm, because it is winter, I hope. But he starts to have dark green poop that's mostly white and has clear liquid and he sometimes bobs his head trying to vomit. I give him a diet of a bit of vegetables to balance out the millet that consist most of his meals because it is the most widely available source of food around, and this time of year has been particularly colder than usual. He's at least three months old and he looks
Is there any natural herb/supplement that can help a bird who is experiencing puffed up feathers and bloody droppings?
Hello doctor my green parrot eating like what humans eat like rice or snacks ND biscuits all eating it's good for him health?? Parrot won't eat much vegetables and fruits
We're wondering if there's anything we can do to improve her diet. Right now she is eating pellets (Zupreem, converting to Zupreem naturals), seeds, and we offer veggies every day despite her never really finishing them. We're now grinding up a Tums onto the food every day, as she was egg bound recently. We get 30-60 mins of time outside a day when possible, for sunlight. Any suggestions, or does this look fine? Thanks.
I got my male Parakeet 11 days ago, his feces were dark brown and firm his urates white and his urine clear, I've been around my parents budgies a lot so I assumed this was normal. But ever since last night they became a lighter brown and they are slightly softer and his feces still coil the urates and urine are still normal so should this be of any concern? I noticed before I got him he was eating only seed, I have him on a diet of pellets and seeds called All Living Things Parakeet Daily Diet
I have a 4 month old Black capped conure. I noticed this morning when I first took him out of his cage he had more watery stool then usual. Colors looked normal. It’s a dark green color with white. He is on a seed diet it’s called Kaytee Forti Diet Pro Health. Is this a good diet to feed him? Also is it ok that his stool was a little watery? Thank you
My parakeet male is one year old he is active as before for about a month .He eats but he l think he lost some weight.
