For best results, do not mix with non clumping cat litter. For first time use, start with an empty, clean cat litter box. Fill it with 3 to 4 inches of Fresh Step Cat Litter. Remove clumps and solids daily and dispose in trash. Do not flush. The rest of the litter stays fresh. Add more Fresh Step Cat Litter to refresh your litter box each time you scoop. Maintain level of litter at 3 to 4 inches.

As a reminder, especially to pregnant women and immunosuppressed persons, cat feces can sometimes transmit a disease called toxoplasmosis. Therefore, always remember to wash hands thoroughly after handling used cat litter. For further information, consult your doctor. Unused cat litter poses no toxoplasmosis threat. Caution: Do not use this product as a traction aid because product becomes slippery and slick when wet.

Absolutely NOWHERE on the box does it say that this litter is scented so I assumed it wasn’t. I guess that’s my mistake and I should assume all fresh step litter comes with an overpowering awful fake floral smell unless otherwise stated. It’s not until I come to the website that it lists this product as Triple Action SCENTED litter. My apologies for not frequenting your website. I have one cat who refuses to go in scented litter so rather than end up cleaning up a bunch of messes I just had to get rid of a full box of litter for which I just paid. Thanks a lot Fresh Step.

We have been buying for many years now fir ourc2 cat home. Very good product, but would like to buy in the 42# 4 pack format other Fresh Step is sold in. Your web sitexsayscFS CP TA is avail in this format, but it seems no one actually sells it this way?

Expensive but useful. It does the job it's supposed to although the "10 days odor control guarantee" is a bit overstated as I would never leave the litter box without maintenance for 10 days. Even with maintenance, I need to empty and replace the cat litter product before 10 days.

I'm livid. My poor husband just lugged SIX 42-pound cases of this home because he's having heart surgery next week and won't be able to lift much for some time. And the formulation is NOT what we've been using for YEARS! It was the best litter before, now it's a much smaller grain, significantly darker in color, and SEVERELY sticks to the bottom and sides of the litter pan, and litter scoops. Plastic scoops are worthless against the muck, and I have to use the only metal one. I'm at my wits end with this stuff! SO disappointed with Fresh Step for what they've done to the formulation! Did you expect us not to notice???

This cat litter is great. My kitten no longer leave litter trails on the floor. It clumps alot better than other brands I have tried.

I’ve been using Fresh Step for years and whatever has changed is horrible. Sticks to the liter box something terrible and also seems to track more than ever.

I have been using Fresh Step for ten years . The last 42lb package I bought is entirely different from what I have been getting in the past. It is a finer grain ,darker grey and does not work nearly as well.My two cats would not even use it for three days. I guess I will have to switch brands

We have been using Fresh Step for almost 16 years. The new formula change is terrible! My senior cat now refuses to use the box. I have cleaned up so many messes this past week. It looks like sand now and the urine just becomes the consistency of wet cement. The texture is totally different and my cat doesn't even want to step on it. We now have to find another brand!
