Combing in the direction the coat grows, use gentle stroking actions to allow the teeth to ease through the coat leaving it clean and healthy. Be gentle and careful at first until you are familiar with the action.Medium coats & wiry coats - Start by combing in the direction of the hair growth, then against it to remove mats and tangles.Long coats - Comb in the direction of hair growth, parting the layers. Use a light stroke which goes beyond the end of the hair to avoid breakage.Curly coats - Dead hair does not readily fall out of their coats. It is important that curly coats be combed two or three times a week. Their coats should be combed to the skin to avoid deep matting.
