ok for small plants

How good these work could vary by your substrate. The cups are quite small as well. If you have fish that root around the substrate where plants are they may make these come out. I probably wont buy again.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Good but not great aquatic planters...

I've had these baskets in use since December, and while not great... they're good for plants that get their nutrients from the substrate. Not recommended for the water column feeding plants. Removed a star for how easily they become "uprooted/floating" and minus one for the foam which damaged stems on my plants.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Just purchased these to help some java fern and amazon sword root in gravel today so I don’t know how work it will work down the line. Very easy to secure the plant and anchor in my gravel. h

Would I still need to put root tabs for Amazon swords or Java fern

  1. yes for amazon swords, no for java ferns. you’ll need a liquid fertilizer that you add to the water for java ferns.
