Ridiculously hard to clean , gets slimy faster than a regular water bowl and stopped working in less than a year on the initial pump plus the replacement

This fountain is large and holds a large amount of water. I like that it's all stainless steel. The issue is that I adopted my kitten on Oct 13th and the second pump has already stopped working. The first one it came with stopped working after about two months. After a LOT of phone calls and horrible customer service support from Petco, I finally got hold of the company and the CSR didn't even ask questions, just took my address and said a new pump would be sent. So i suspect this is an ongoing issue with this fountain. Now that the second one has quit I won't be getting another pump. I'm just tossing this. I do not recommend this product.

Awful!!!!! Do not buy! I’ve owned a few different water fountains for my pets over the years and this one is the worst!! I’ve never had problems with a fountain leaking all over the floor before. If you don’t line the holes up perfectly when assembling, it will leak all over your floor. This has happened twice to us. It has leaked creating a huge puddle, leaking off of the mat we have under the bowl, onto our beautiful hardwood floors. This last time it did it, was the last!! It warped our flooring, as it happened and I wasn’t home to clean it right away. This went outside for the dogs to use. Bought a different bowl off amazon that had stunning reviews and so far no issues.

We bought this before we left the country for a four-week vacation in Europe. My little sister stayed at our house with our dogs and kept the pet fountain filled the whole time. However, it still stopped working after only a couple weeks. We have no idea what happened but I’m frustrated that we spent $90 on something that doesn’t even seem to work beyond a couple weeks. If it actually worked, I would have given it five stars but now I wish I could give it zero. Great design and love the fact that it’s stainless steel, but the motor seems to be awful.

I received this product for free from the Spotted by Petco sampling program in exchange for my honest review. I have to say, I wasn’t expecting this to go over so well. My cat is a water gremlin, absolutely loves water, showers with me and everything. I’ve been wanting to get him a fountain for some time now but was afraid he was too messy for it. This is heavy enough so he can’t drag it around. I’m impressed with how large it is and how sturdy it feels. Pump seems to be working good with no issues as well. Setup was easier than it looks. I would definitely recommend this product, especially if your kitty loves water like mine does!

Overall, I like these fountains. This one was easy to set up and it's very simple to take apart to clean unlike some others I've tried over the years. It's quiet as far as motor and water go, although both my dogs are cats are used to fountains so they had no trouble using this one. My major qualm is that the pump has already died on me - these tiny fountain pumps are so sensitive and it doesnt take much for them to go. The plus side is that even with the pump not operating, water is still accessible (something to keep in mind of for say, a power outage). The steel also seemed to collect hard water buildup faster than my ceramic one does as well.

I’ve been using the little bowls for their water but they always manage to flip it and drop all the water, this fountain has been a life saver!! Keeps the water filtered and fresh as long as you clean it.
