Questions
I am a stroke survivor so I care for my very active dog with only one hand. I’ve tried every “easy on” harness. they all require 2 hands or a lot of Valium for both of us. Kidding! Is there a video I can watch of this being put on ?
- Hi Valued Guest, Good day! Currently, we do not have videos, but here are the steps to put on the harness: Unsnap buckle and loosen slide adjusters Pull harness over dog’s head Snap buckle closed Tighten slide adjusters Should be able to fit 2 fingers under the harness Once the harness is fitted the first time, the adjusters do not need to be touched. Then, just unsnap buckle (only one), pull harness over head, and snap buckle closed on the dog’s side. We recommend getting a Petco store partner or a friend to help get the adjusters where they should be. Thanks

I'm currently looking for a new harness for my 8 month old puppy. What kind would you recommend to be the most comfortable for her? She's always in her harness, except for night time, so I want her to be as comfortable as possible. Thank you! :-)
Our puppy does not understand the leash and when we hook it to her collar she flips around and acts crazy. We want her to get used to it but she is going to hurt herself. We want to get her a harness but what is the best type of harness for a puppy? Some have soft material versus some made out of thinner collar materials. Which is better?
I just purchased the no pull harness for my puppy. How Long should I be using it for? Is there a point when I can transition to a regular harness?
What harness is the best and most comfortable for my dog. It would also have to work with a tie out stake. The one i have she just pulls right out of it. Collar training My 14 week papillon is tiny just over 2lbs. The smallest harness does not fit. I began collar and leash during potty pad time, then keeping on and off for periods yesterday. Of course she bites and plays with the leash, causing it to be more of a potty training distraction than tool. The collar, right sized no dangles made of nylon, seems to irritate her skin. She itches it constantly. Is this hurting her skin or part of getting used to the collar?
We got a front hook harness for her, will it be ok?
My dog is old now and has hip issues that require we help her up. I'm looking into harnesses to make both our lives easier but am not sure which style would be more comfortable and less damaging. Yesterday we took our dog with us on a trip and he’s usually very hyper so he had his harness on him for the most part. I think we put the harness too tight on him because now he’s kind of walking slow and reluctant to jump. Did we strain his muscles because of the harness? And what can we do?
What is an easy way to leash train my 1 year old mutt puppy?
I've been working with a trainer to make it easier to walk my dog since it became very difficult with him trying to bark aggressively to any dog he sees. He'll pull the leash a lot to try to get there and it's quite a scene.We've tried no pull harnesses, prong collars and there's no use. Trainer mentioned acquiring a halti or gentle lead to help me ease him. He was bitten by other dog when he was a puppy and that's why he's so anxious.It only happens when walking. Is this leash a goodsuggestion?
Going to use a easy walk harness. She pulls on way into dog park and in new situations (off and on pulling not too horrible) would it teach her no pulling ever or just with it on? I read it’s on of the tools that are actually helpful in loose leash walking. I already taught her the leash needs to be loose to go forward and she listens fairly well.
