The Simple Green products are effective and safe. Stronger cleaners will trade safety for efficacy. Baking soda and water or a 50/50 solution of water and white vinegar can be effective and safe cleaners.

The cone-shaped snails you are referring to are most likely Malaysian Trumpet Snails. A sustained population of Malaysian Trumpet Snails is supported by an abundant food source usually in the form of organic debris or sludge in the substrate. The green water algae can also be attributed to excess nutrients in your aquarium. If you haven't done so already, be in the practice of siphoning your substrate during every water change to remove trapped organic debris and prevent build up. While it maybe tempting to siphon your entire substrate bed, be sure to clean no more than 1/3 at a time to maintain a healthy population of beneficial bacteria that live in the substrate and make up a significant portion of your biological filter. Be sure to use a dechlorinator and a bacterial additive with each water change to ensure a healthy environment for your fish and biological filter. The population of Malaysian Trumpet Snails will diminish naturally over time as you reduce their food source. In

Hello. I would use either Nature's Miracle of just plain old white vinegar. For the hard scale, just soak your pans in the vinegar & rinse. Otherwise, just put the vinegar in a spray bottle & clean as often as needed. Thanks for using Boop by Petco.

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! This is a bit of a mystery but maybe it was from humping something- Just based on locations of the staining. What about a new bed or towel or toy at the facility? Some new fake grass he rubbed on? I don’t see this being a grass stain, it seems too dark. Very weird. Perhaps ask to tour the facility and look around? As far as Leroy’s safety, I suppose it could have been some something toxic but probably not. I’d recommend washing thoroughly with a dog shampoo and watching for any signs of toxicity or irritation (itching, vomiting, tremors, seizures, lethargy). Best of luck to you and Leroy!
