Limited ingredient diets come with one major benefit - pet parents are able to identify exactly what goes into their dog's body and avoid any specific ingredients. While a suitable diet for many dogs, LID diets can also be great for dogs with food sensitivities.

The Denamarin should not be needed if her liver enzymes are normal. It is not for energy it is just to help support the liver. Giving it intermittently is just a waste of money. It won't hurt it but it's not necessary. I suggest you put her on a good supplement like this one. I think it will help her all around: ( https://www.allivet.com/p-5454-missing-link-recovery-detoxification-1-lb.aspx )

A good quality and balanced diet is fundamental to provide nutrients to all body parts including the nervous system. The food you are providing affects Natasha level of energy, brain health and indirectly, for these reasons, her behavior. I would recommend a complete dry or wet diet as Royal Canin or Hills.

A great product to use with SAMEe is Denosyl. You can purchase this supplement easily online and it comes packaged based on small, medium or large dogs. Ladybug would need the 225mg Medium Dog dose Denosyl. This product is given once daily.

Hello. Actually, we do see a type of sundowners in elderly dogs. We call the canine cognitive dysfunction. Some dogs do quite well on a medication called selegemine, others do well on Trazodone, while others need Xanax & melatonin. You will need to visit with your veterinarian who can recommend the best options for Cinnamon. Thanks for using Boop by Petco.

Well, the concern with starting Sam E in her situation is that we don’t know what type of tumor is on her liver. If it is a hepatocullular carcinoma (true liver cancer and not metastasis) then in theory it could “feed” the cancer. However, if your veterinarian feels that this is a different type of cancer then yes, Sam E would be appropriate. A 10 kg dog typically gets around 225 mg of Sam E per day. Best of luck and I hope Tanner does well for quite some time. Thank you for using Pet Coach.
