Poor Zadie! I would be worried the eye was scratched as well. A viral infection is also possible. Unfortunately there isn't much you can do at home aside from keep it clean. Zadie needs to see the veterinarian for an eye stain to check for a scratch and then she will likely receive medications to be applied to her eye. Zadie should also be wearing an Elizabethan collar to make sure she does not further injure the eye. Best of luck!

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Ziva. I recommend that she sees her veterinarian. She will need to have her stool tested as she could have giardia or another type of infection. Based on these results medications can be prescribed. I hope this information helps!

Poor Zoe! Usually CKD is a condition more associated with older cats. Obviously I can't see her blood work so don't know how bad she is in medical terms. However, it is very hard to know how long a cat with CKD has. Sometimes it is months, sometimes years. If she is comfortable at the moment I would let her be and monitor the situation. If her signs worsen and she starts vomiting and being unwell you ought to consider putting her to sleep. However, there is no reason why she can't travel to your new home with you if her signs are still manageable.

It sounds like Katella could have a skin infection going on. This can be caused by yeast or bacteria, is often secondary to skin allergies, and can lead to hair falling out easily, crusting or flaking of the skin, pimples, and itchiness potentially. I would have katella evaluated by a veterinarian. They can recommend medicated shampoos and topical treatments as well as oral antibiotics if necessary. Her skin will hopefully be back to normal in no time!

Thanks for using Boop by Petco. To be honest, the pictures of Kat don’t look that bad to me but I know that in real life things can be different. I’d first try about 300 mg per day of fish oil. This can take a month or two to really help but does often help with things like this. Brushing daily can also help with the greasiness. I see he is a little on the chunky side, so part of the greasiness may be that he is not able to groom that area easily any more. Brushing and weight loss can help there. Finally, there are true skin conditions (oil gland diseases, auto-Immune diseases, mites, infections) that can also cause skin problems like this so if it seems severe, gets worse in any way, or is not improving in 3 weeks, it’s time to see the vet. Best wishes to you and Kat!
