I'm a little confused about exactly how fast he's typically going, but as long as he seems to be able to keep up without trouble and gets breaks for water he should be okay. My main concern with pavement is that it can either be too hot or rough on the paw pads so I would plan to check his feet often when you're out and plan to stop if there is any redness. It might be best to avoid the pavement on hot days. There are also boots for dogs available that you could put on him if his feet are getting torn up.

Hi I'm glad you're getting prepared to start your life with Kiro. It's good to remember that dog behavior is very different to human behavior. Dogs usually don't like being hugged and kissed as they don't do this naturally. Also being very loud and making big gestures with your hands can be scary. I have a very good book recommendation: "Decoding your dog " its available from Amazon and will help you show love to Kiro without overwhelming him. It also discusses how to train him. Good luck!

This can be extremely frustrating and exhausting for all of you! These behavioral changes do occur commonly in older dogs as a result of canine cognitive dysfunction, which is essentially dementia. Daphney is displaying the most common signs of pacing aimlessly at night with random barking. Some dogs also stand in a corner and seem to be lost. While there are no medications or management options that work in all cases, consider discussing selegiline, melatonin, antioxidants and acupuncture with your vet. I hope this helps and that you can get caught up on sleep!

Hello and thank you for reaching out to Boop by Petco. I definitely think Dakoda's reaction will be different based on the music you play! Dogs hear just like we do (actually more sensitively than we do), so louder, more aggressive music may excite them more, whereas softer, more soothing music may cause them to be more relaxed. Dog's actions and emotions are very similar to humans, so it is not wrong to think about how a human would react to these types of music and apply that information to dogs. I hope this is helpful!

If his ALP is high than it might just be from his Cushing's disease. If the ALT is high, you could ask your vet about trying Denamarin and see if the helps. It is very encouraging that he is acting fine and eating ok.
