4pm yesterday our 11 year old was put under mild anesthesia for ultra sound...found intestinal ulcer. He is still really sleepy, not eating and not taking New meds. He drank water...alot, and peed a few times. How do we know when to bring him in for not eating, no meds?

Noticed 12 yr. F. Lab Retriever having trouble releasing urine. Visit to vet for vaccine, felt dogs tummy and suggested ultra sound. Suggested immediate surgery because many stones seen. After surgery said most stones ever seen. I saw them, 15 lbs of stones. Says needs to be on Royal Canine Urinary SO dog food for life. She is not tolerating more than 1/2 her food being this food. Am mixing with her old food Blue Buffalo Senior. Now suggesting other Brand. Need special food for life?

Is grain free dog/cat food better for my pets?? How do I know how to pick a good quality food??

My 6 year old neutered male has a large tumor in his bladder. He was finally diagnosed after an ultrasound. Blood work before ultra sound never gave any warning of cancer. Cytology report from his urine also did not confirm cancer, only suspicious cells. Is it possible it’s benign? I’ve read online where pets have been diagnosed with TCC but opted to have the tumor removed then the biopsy comes back benign. Since no test have confirmed malignant, is it possible it’s not?

Hello! 10 year old bull terrier's blood test results showed very high level of Alkaline: 704. Previous blood test was 6 months ago and did not show high level ALP He is currently being treated for a bronchitis + a tooth infection. Can these bacterial infections cause the high level of ALP? I know there can be lots of other causes for high ALP levels. But before doing an ultra sound + another blood test, shouldn't we wait to cure the infections first? and then test again for high ALP levels?

I'm wondering if it's safe to use HARTZ ULTRA GUARD PRO TRIPLE ACTION for flea, tick and misquitoe drops on my dog if she's already wearing a flea and tick collar? I think it's the same brand flea and tick collar it just doesn't have the misquito repellent the drops have. Plus the ticks are horrendous where we live so is it OK to put drops on her?

I have an 8 year old English Springer Bitch dressed at 14 months without a litter . When left alone she scrapes the floor rapidly and pants rapidly this started 6 months ago. Blood tests have been done and ultra scan all was clear . Any advice would be welcome.

Had a check up with Ultra sound on his tummy to confirm his status after removing part of his liver due cancer. Seems going well so far, except a small hernia projected. Vet said it should be ok if remain no enlarge. Just to get a second opinion

2 year old female cat (spayed) suddenly bullying 7 month old male cat (neutered) after co-existing peacefully for several months. Will not allow him to leave bathroom or get on floor. No new pets or environmental changes.

I’ve been using flea/tick spray for cats & dogs that contain clove oil or peppermint oil. Now I’m reading this is toxic to cats! Do I need to worry? I have not seen any side effects. I saw your posting about indorex. Can the pets remain in the home when this is used? Thanks for your advice!
